My mom has spent countless hours behind a sewing machine filling hundreds of bobbins, so that she could share her talent and love with others through her art. She is a true artist, though I don’t know if she would consider herself one. Everything she creates is beautiful, unique and from her heart ❤️ .
One of the last times I did a paper and pen piece of artwork was a gift for my mom in the pointillist style. It was a picture of my mom as a little girl and was created with hundreds of dots. I spent weeks working on it and it still hangs in her home over 30 years later. When I decided to create a cake inspired by her I figured it only appropriate to use the same style. It took me several days and hundreds of buttercream dots this time. These hours obviously don’t compare to the time she has dedicated to me throughout my life. She has always been my greatest cheerleader and example and I’m honored to be her daughter. She is my ultimate example of motherhood and has helped me in so many ways throughout the years as I raise my own six children. I know Mother’s Day can feel difficult and complicated for so many. I recognize that, I see you and I hope you find joy today in whatever fills you ❤️❤️
