Have you ever heard of a counter cake?

It's nothing fancy. It's not a showstopper or a cake you'd find at a fancy bakery. It's not even something I'd typically sell.

A counter cake is just a simple, delicious, homemade cake that sits right there on the kitchen counter, waiting for someone to sneak a little slice as they wander through the kitchen throughout the day. A nibble here, a sliver there, and before you know it, the whole cake has mysteriously disappeared! 🤷🏻‍♀️

Counter cakes can be any flavor, but this one is bringing all the cozy fall feels with a maple cake topped with cooked caramel penuche frosting. 🍁🤎

Simple fall flavors. Simple homemade goodness. No special occasion required.

Because sometimes the best things aren't made to impress anyone. They're just made to be enjoyed around your own kitchen table or straight off the counter.

This morning’s breakfast was a delicious way to make sure those Amish sandwich rolls didn’t go to waste! ❤️ A little cinnamon, a dash of spice, and some kitchen magic turned them into a sweet, creamy bread pudding with those perfectly crunchy edges. 😋

The perfect cozy breakfast for a chilly fall morning AND breakfast meal prep for the week? Now that’s what I call a win! 🙌

Around here, we believe good food deserves a second chance, a little extra butter, and maybe a sprinkle of cinnamon. 😉🍂

I scored a very interesting Amish cookbook from a local family who had been in the area for decades AND stocked up on sprinkles for all the upcoming holidays. Major win! 🙌✨

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of celebrating our wedding anniversary with a small reception surrounded by our closest family and friends. Of course, no celebration in this family would be complete without a little something sweet! 😉
