Happy Mon . . . and the last day of Aug! Are you ready for fall vibes?

Ramsey is! Thanks for your post and photos from last week! A regular and enthusiastic DeBeen HP customer, Ramsey chose an iced Toasty Ghosty latte from our new autumn menu. That's a mocha pumpkin spice latte with marshmallow cold foam!

Ramsey says, "I had 2% milk with the iced latte, since that’s my go-to. It was amazing!

"I tend to roll the dice on the specials menu, and always end up hitting the jackpot." Ramsey rated his Toasty Ghosty a 100 out of 10!

"I also had to get the only maroon shirt because I couldn't help myself. I've been wanting a piece of merch for so long and plan on getting more. That maroon color was calling my name!"

Happy National Dog Day! Puppaccinos, whipped cream in a mini cup, are always free. Just ask a barista, when you place your order! Every day is dog day at DeBeen!

We do request that if you and your dog hang out in the cafe for awhile, that he or she be certified as a ESA or service dog. In the seating areas outside, it’s not a problem so long as your furry bestie is on a leash and well behaved.

Thanks so much to Amber for two stories over the past week. Sadly, they don't include her petite Molly, a Pomeranian. Molly loves her pup cups and dog walks to DeBeen WS!

On Mon, Amber featured her home brewed coffee, made with DeBeen beans. Last Thurs, Amber shared her French press method and a bag of snickerdoodle beans. Definitely giving autumnal vibes!

It's the end of Aug! Where did the summer go?

For this week's biweekly coffee walk, we made a short trip to Hester Park in Greensboro, only a few miles from Grandover, Emerald Pointe, and Furnitureland South in High Point. Located in southwest Greensboro, Hester Park is a lesser known but charming urban oasis, near major roads and Interstates.

A regional park, maintained by Greensboro Parks and Recreation, Hester Park features a 5.7 acre lake that's easily circumnavigated over a 1.3 mile walking trail. There are athletic fields, playgrounds, tennis and volleyball courts, picnic areas, benches, a gazebo and much more.

The lake is popular with birds and waterfowl, and has piers for fishing. Along a barrier on one side are a series of nature murals by local artists. The site is popular with all ages, and is a great spot for picnics, dog walks, meditation, landscape painting, and hanging out. There's even a public chessboard and an adult activities center.

Hester Park is a lovely place to relax and enjoy late summer, DeBeen cup in hand. Stop by several times over the coming weeks to observe the change of season and admire the views and eventual autumnal color with reflections on the water! Easy staycation!

Hester Park is under a half-hour from DeBeen HP, and less than 45-min from DeBeen WS. There are restrooms and plenty are parking. It's just off I-73, I-85, and close to I-40 and Hwy 29. It's open year-round and free, but adults who want to fish purchase daily passes.
