There seems to be some confusion about the roles at Petunia’s, and I’d like to take a moment to clarify.
Krysteena, the owner, has always led with kindness, respect, and genuine care. She may not always have been present day-to-day, but her passion and talent are at the heart of everything Petunia’s represents.
I’m Ricki—the manager, the cook, and yes, the redhead with the kerchief. I’ve been the one running daily operations, and I’ll admit I hold high standards. I believe in giving your best and taking pride in your work. That expectation may not always have been easy, but it came from a place of wanting the business—and everyone in it—to succeed.
We offered competitive pay, meals, and tips, and many team members rose to the occasion. Unfortunately, not everyone shared that same level of commitment, and that created challenges behind the scenes.
It’s also been difficult to see negative claims and personal attacks circulating online. While everyone is entitled to their perspective, much of what has been shared is simply not accurate and has unfairly impacted the reputation of someone who truly does not deserve it.
I hope this helps provide some clarity. At the end of the day, Petunia’s was built on hard work, care, and community—and that’s what we will continue to stand for.
