Gluten Free Cake Pops were a success! I found a great recipe for cake and adapted it, and was able to use my normal frosting and melts. Just realized LITERALLY as I posted this that I didn’t check the sprinkles…. 😩😩🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ until I check into it, for this batch gluten allergy folks can sample the coconut lime (no sprinkles) and gluten-shy folks can enjoy the pumpkin spice and the strawberry lemon! Tomorrow: same flavors, but vegan! Who wants to help me by being a taste tester?! 🙋🏻‍♀️

Week three of my personal cookbook challenge and this week I checked out ’s Salt Fat Acid Heat for some foundational reading, then ‘s Eat Mexico. Gorgeous recipes! Here are some cabbage enchiladas with homemade sauce. Yam has exclaimed she is so surprised they don’t have meat and that they are delicious. Next recipe: chard+chickpeas, and I’ll be playing around with some of the eggs+beans+tortilla+sauces in whatever combination I have ingredients for on hand 😂

Y’all… this kitchen!!! Here are some things I have made since I moved in, and I can MOVE and I’ve got COUNTER SPACE! It’s a beautiful thing, a love between a girl and her kitchen. 😍 1. Lime cheesecake shortbread bars with mango gelee; 2. The shortbread crust and a pretzel crust for my next project; 3. Fig and orange blossom jam that will probably end up in some shortbread thumbprint cookies; 4. My first homemade pasta with sautéed kale and shrimp.

We made dumplings yesterday! The Asian market in Milford is gorgeous and has so many fresh things. We did a “mix your own” situation, with pork, shrimp, chicken, egg, and every veggie you can imagine. The second image is the only shot I was able to get as we gobbled. Soooo much leftover filling but luckily, many wrappers. We froze tons, so we can have homemade dumplings whenever we want. 💁🏻‍♀️
