Morgan, where the hell have you been loca? 🧛🏻‍♀️🐺

I know, I know. I’m sorry for abandoning my social media post. I’ve been putting off this announcement because it feels like just another heavy thing right now but…

I’ve got to take a break (sort of). I recently started a full-time job and I’ll be moving into an apartment soon. Less time and less space makes Morgan a dull baker.

So what does this mean? I have a few obligations that I will be sticking to this month and June but most all of my custom orders have been cancelled. I also won’t be able to make it to the VegLife Des Moines vegan summer market as a vendor, but I’m so excited to be able to enjoy it as a guest and board member.

I highly recommend checking out my website for local options for vegan bakes that can fill your tummies in the meantime. I hope you all can understand and give me time to get adjusted and figure out what capacity I will be able to return to after things settle. Thank you. ✌🏻💕🌱

Monthly Vegan Potluck? Consider doing a bit of spring cleaning this weekend and bring us your gently used items (see list below) for our eclectic garage sale that we hold at the Vegan Summer Market. We will have collection bins at the potluck so don’t be shy!

What should you bring to the potluck for our garage sale? Here's the breakdown:

Vegan: books, cookbooks, movies, t-shirts, stickers, art, hats, jewelry

Anti-racist/anti-oppression: books, art, t-shirts, stickers, hats, jewelry

LGBTQIA: rainbows!, t-shirts, buttons, art, books, movies, flags, signs

Kitchen gadgets, art supplies (that are vegan), gardening supplies, home decor, kids toys, and tools: anything goes as long as it is in good condition

Plant/animal items: puzzles, art, knick knacks

Here's what not to bring -
- anything that is worn out or broken
- anything that isn't related to the categories above, for example generic clothing, exercise equipment, furniture
- anything not vegan

This year’s event will include a vegan picnic-style meal catered by Veggie Reaper, sweet treats from Vegan in Valley Junction, an epic silent auction, a panel discussion on starting and running a sanctuary courtesy of Sarah from Lancaster Farm Sanctuary, Wendy from Odd Man INN, and our very own Shawn of IFS, live music performed by The Ben Schmidt Band, backyard games, a raffle, and the opportunity to walk our one-mile trail and interact with the residents. Guests will receive swag bags full of goodies upon arrival and have exclusive first-time access to brand new merchandise in our store. 🥳
