When I Started… 📸🧁

When I first started my baking business, I thought the job was simple: bake the desserts, make them beautiful, hand them over, and keep going. 😂

I had NO idea that being a baker also meant becoming a content creator! 📱

Taking pictures.
Recording videos.
Finding the right lighting.
Editing.
Making reels.
Writing captions.
Trying to remember to actually record myself while I’m covered in flour, chocolate, buttercream and fondant. 😂

And honestly, I’m still learning.

I started this business because I LOVE creating desserts and making people happy with what I create. I never imagined I’d also be learning photography, marketing, social media and content creation along the way.

But looking back at where I started compared to where I am now… I’m proud of myself. ❤️

Every post, every video, every cake, every mistake and every little improvement has been part of the journey.

So here’s to the baker who had no idea she was signing up to be a content creator too. 😂🎂📸

Still learning. Still creating. Still growing. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. ✨

✨ New logo, new chapter! ✨

I’m so excited to finally share my new logo with you all! 💕 I’ve been working on it for weeks because I wanted something that truly felt like me—more elegant, more personal, and something that actually represents the face behind Gigi Caters.

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I usually stay behind the camera. I don’t really talk in my videos or show myself much, but I’m hoping to change that soon! I want to be more present, connect with all of you, and let you get to know the person creating your treats.

This is just the beginning! Over the coming months, I’ll be adding new treats to the menu, specializing more in kids’ birthday parties, and collaborating with other amazing local businesses. My goal is to keep growing, improving, and making Gigi Caters the best it can be.

Every smooth finish, every perfect swirl, every handmade decoration is the result of patience, practice, and passion.

Behind every beautiful cake is someone who poured their heart into creating it.

Being a full-time chef and a part-time home baker isn’t always easy. Long hours, early mornings, late nights… it can be a lot to carry sometimes. But through the chaos, the flour-covered counters, and the constant hustle, there’s something that makes it all worth it.

The smiles. The joy. The comfort that comes from something made with care.

Whether it’s a plated dish in a busy kitchen or a homemade dessert shared with loved ones, knowing that something I created can make someone’s day a little better—that’s the real reward.
