Fun-filled weekend here! Besides the teething baby anyways...
Got to make this Vanilla Confetti Barbie Cake, and loved every second of it! Along with Vegan, Artificial Dye-Free Chocolate Cupcakes, and a Vegan Dreamsicle cake.
Loving getting to try all these new vegan flavors lately (Vegan Black Forest Cake a few weeks ago that I forgot to snap a picture of). Keep em coming!

A fun one from last weekend!
An ALL buttercream (because boo fondant) chocolate m&m piñata cake.
Had so much fun throwing this together! Already have more ideas for making it even more exciting next time! 😁

First cake project since having Jules!

Fall themed baptism cake. Half chocolate, and half vanilla on the inside. Just because you get baptized on the same day as your brother doesn't mean you have to compromise on cake flavor!

Had leftover batter, so made some Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough French Buttercream to go on top of some chocolate cupcakes, and even some salted caramel sauce, just because. Can you guys tell I missed being in the kitchen? You can see how serious my manager is about that extra caramel. Who wants to come and get some??

Believe it or not, these 2 gigantic 12inch cakes are ALL VEGAN. And pink lemonade flavored to boot! Honestly guys, I'm not vegan myself, and this cake fooled even me!

A monstrous cake for one of my nephew's first birthday party! So much fun!
And not a fan of the taste of fondant, so those are cake pop horns covered in white chocolate. YUM!!

Getting Into the Mix

I got my start baking goodies for my friends and families birthdays, way back in grade school. I’ve always loved researching and trying out new recipes, ideas and techniques. Since high school, I’ve especially enjoyed exploring baking sweets for my more allergen-prone friends. Trust me, it is WAY easier to find ingredients for gluten-free and vegan baking these days! Currently, I’m loving my day job at Sweet Revolution Bake Shop in downtown Lafayette, where I continue to gain more baking knowledge every single day! Even though we no longer serve cakes there, they’ve given me the opportunity to make beautiful wedding cakes, explore different flavor combinations, and help make customers’ decorating ideas become a reality.
