Hey friends! 🌻🍞

I just wanted to take a minute to thank every single one of you for the incredible support you've shown Happy Hippy Homestead. Watching this little dream grow has been so much fun, and I've loved sharing my newfound love of baking with all of you. ❤️

As life has gotten busier with rescuing kittens, homeschooling the kids, and spending more time in the kitchen, I've realized it's getting harder to keep up with multiple pages. And with school starting back in less than two weeks, life is about to get even more exciting! 😂

So instead of trying to post content in three different places, I've decided to bring everything together on my personal profile. That way, you'll still get all the homemade bread and goodies, pet rescue updates, and everyday shenanigans—all in one place!

Hey y'all! I'm sharing this recipe card with you because it is the recipe to end all sourdough recipes in my opinion. 🥳🎉

It came out buttery, flaky, light and airy oh my gosh... so good!

I cannot take credit for it. I got it from a creator named Anne Fisher you can check her out on FB. 🫶🌻 My loaves are definitely not pretty but boy was it good!

Note: this was created specifically for me to pin on my cabinet, so adjust as it makes sense for you. I adapted her original recipe a little bit by using less water, flour and starter based on what I had. I also have a convection oven and I use a cold Dutch oven.

This sourdough bread is so delicious and is hands down my favorite bread to make... and eat! 😍🍞

I folded fresh butter right into the dough, and it gave the bread a buttery, flaky crust while the inside stayed soft, light, and airy. Every bite just melts in your mouth.

Baked fresh and available for porch pickup at The Happy Hippy Homestead porch stand! 🫶 🌻

Just in case nobody's told you... you don't need a big, fancy sourdough kit to make beautiful bread. 🌻

Sourdough is so much simpler (and more forgiving) than people make it seem. A jar, some flour, water, a little patience... and you're well on your way.

I honestly think the most important ingredient is joy. 💛 Bread making is supposed to be fun! I have one simple rule: if I'm in a bad mood, I don't bake. Bready White deserves happy vibes, and honestly... so do I. 🍞✨

Meet the newest member of the Medina household... Bready White! 🍞😁

I wish I could take credit for that name, but her original owner deserves all the credit.

She's a fancy, old-fashioned gal who loves to party, and she's about to make the most delicious sourdough bread in all of South Carolina.

Okay... maybe that's a little too optimistic. 😅 But I'm already completely attached to this bubbly little jar of magic. I just know she's going to grow, thrive, and turn into some amazing loaves.

So y'all... say a little prayer for Bready White. 🙏

Because if she doesn't rise... I might cry a little lol
