Hey friends—just a quick note to let you know we’re hitting pause on our 52Cakes auctions for a few weeks.

Donations have slowed a bit, and we even had one cake with no bids (which honestly broke our little bakery hearts). So we’re going to take a short breather, regroup, and come back with fresh energy and maybe a few new ideas.

We’re so grateful to everyone who’s supported this effort—whether you’ve bid, shared, or just cheered us on. You’ve helped us put real money into the hands of folks who needed it, and that means the world.

🍓 The Pink One – A strawberry lover’s dream! This 6-inch cake features soft strawberry layers filled with a bright strawberry coulis and silky strawberry cream, all wrapped in smooth vanilla buttercream.

🍋 The Yellow One – Light and zesty! This 6-inch vanilla cake is layered with raspberry purée and filled with lemon cream, then finished with our signature vanilla buttercream.

Each cake serves 8 guests and is perfect for sharing (or not—we won’t judge).

Bidding is open until 5:00 PM Thursday, and the winning bidder picks up their cake Friday morning at Farm to Cake.

We’ve got not one, but two cakes up for auction this week—and both are decorated dinner-style, just for fun. One is a classic red velvet with cream cheese icing, and the other is a rich chocolate cake filled with our silky chocolate pie filling. As always, 100% of the proceeds go to a local cause. Right now, every dollar raised supports families in Clyde as they continue recovering from the flood damage caused by Helene.

Bidding opens Thursday morning on our website and social media, and runs until 5:00 PM that same day. The two highest bidders will each take home a cake, with pickup available Friday morning at Farm to Cake.

This week, we're shaking things up! Instead of one large cake, we're offering two beautifully decorated 6-inch cakes—a perfect way to make our 52Cakes initiative more accessible to more people. So we have two separate auction items today.

Both cakes are vanilla with a delightful peach buttercream, iced in delicate spring flowers to welcome the warmer weather. And as much as we love the change in season, we know that for many in Clyde, it’s also a reminder of all the work still left to do.
