Here’s the thing about sheet cakes. Love ‘em. They’re great for larger events. I’m partial to a Costco sheet cake. They’re simple, delicious, easy to order, and only like 20 bucks! And that’s exactly what I tell my clients who ask for sheet cakes.Reasons why I don’t do sheet cakes: 🍰 With a small operation like mine, it’s not as simple as saying, “yes, I’ll do it all!” With every product I offer, there are paper goods, packaging, and equipment added to my storage. 🍰 Longer bake times require me to charge way more than I’d like to. I’m happy referring out my business so my customer doesn’t have to break the bank for something they can get at Walmart for half the price. 🍰 Not everyone will agree with this last reason, but sheet cakes are simply not what I do. You probably wouldn’t ask your local artist to paint your house. Or a violinist to DJ your wedding. By no means am I implying that I’m above making sheet cakes. I just want to do the best job I can with your custom tiered cakes. I want to put all of my energies into one thing and do that one thing well.My focus is custom orders for themed events.
