This week, I had the incredible honor of creating a special set of cookies for a young boy through Icing Smiles, and this order meant a little more to me than most. 💜

For those who may not be familiar with Icing Smiles, they are a nonprofit organization that brings joy to families impacted by the critical illness of a child. Through a nationwide network of volunteer bakers, lovingly called “Sugar Angels,” they provide custom cakes and other sweet treats to medically qualified children and their siblings — completely free to the families.

Their mission is about so much more than something sweet. It’s about giving a child and their family a moment to celebrate, smile, make memories, and simply enjoy being a kid during circumstances that can otherwise be incredibly difficult.

I feel so grateful that Peas & Bees Creations was able to play a tiny part in creating one of those moments. Knowing that something I love doing can bring a little happiness to a child and their family makes every hour spent decorating completely worth it. 🥹💜

This was my opportunity to use cookies for something bigger than my business — and I couldn’t be more honored to be a Sugar Angel. 👼🍪

If you’ve never heard of Icing Smiles, I encourage you to check out their mission and the amazing work they do for children and families facing critical illnesses.

💜 It’s so much more than a cookie. It’s a smile, a memory, and a little bit of sweetness during a difficult time. 💜
