Did you ever take an order where you underestimated how much time it actually takes? I know I have! Wanna know how I stopped?

I timed myself doing some of the most basic, repetitive tasks. i.e.
• How long to trim, fill & dirty ice a 6”, 8” & 10” cake
• How long to flood 1 dozen cookies
• How long to match and fill a batch of Macarons

You get the picture.

Luckily there are so many time tracker apps for free like Toggl or Clockify to use. I prefer using Timely. It’s a minimal cost, but it has great features. And knowing how long a task will take me allows me to know how much I should be charging (cause we pay ourselves in 2024, right?), and lets me avoid long days and late nights. Plus, I get to play beat the clock – and who doesn’t love that?

🪄: What I didn't mention was laundry, cleaning, organizing my home office, prepping dinner, etc. Mainly because I am NOT excited about those things... But as a busy Mom, they will get done. eventually.
