License 2T began as a creative outlet for my extremely aggressive, internal muse. For many years I successfully kept La Muse satisfied with parenting projects and the occasional burst of inspired insanity. La Muse and I completed Shrinky Dinks, Sculpi Christmas tree ornaments, the occasional YouTube video or guest blog post. We wrote screenplay treatments, children’s poems, and half- baked novels.
I assumed we were both fulfilled. I was mistaken. A few years ago, La Muse mounted a surprise attack and somehow managed to slip a vision of a kidnapper’s letter, done entirely with the blocky letters of old license plates, into my thoughts. The idea grew like bamboo. Fast, tough and resistant to compromise I was soon trolling eBay, Craig’s List and local estate sales searching for the tools of my trade. Today La Muse is fat and happy. Together we find materials and use them to create original art. You can find us most Sunday’s selling art in our colorful booth at Washington, DC’s famous Eastern Market on Capital Hill.
