we've got a new favorite squash this fall.

delicata is easily the cutest squash and the most convenient because it doesn't need to be peeled! 🙌

here's how to make a super simple side out of these tasty lil guys. for reference, one squash is enough for about 2 people.

cut off ends, and slice lengthwise

scoop out seeds with a spoon

cut into half moon shapes about 1/4" thick

toss with 1 tbsp olive oil and 1/2 tsp salt or to taste

add 1/2 tsp of your favorite spices (we love this recipe with rosemary)

arrange in a single layer on a sheet pan

(the part touching the sheet pan will get the best browning)

cook at 400° for 25-30 minutes or until fork tender.

we served it with keilbasa and green beans but the possibilities are endless. let us know if you give this recipe a try!

it's farmstand friday!

the inspiration for another amazing reel didn't find me, so we'll keep it simple this week. 😆

the weekend forecast looks great. we've got a fresh batch of mums coming in tonight, and we'll be brewing up some Evening Star Coffee Roasters "Autumn Bliss" in the morning for samples!

also in stock this week are carving and decorative pumpkins, several varieties of squash, maple, honey, beef sticks, and *new* sourdough croutons.

i'm baking fresh white and oats and seeds loaves, as well as some cinnamon and cardamom buns and possibly english muffins too, that'll be available in the morning as well.

the stand is open 8am - dusk daily, and we'd love for you to stop by!
