OHHH okayyyy 🍂🎃 Fall Fest is officially happening Friday — and Sister Crust & Crumb will be there!

Come find me at the Warren Farmers Market this Friday, September 4 from 11–2 at North Park Commons — right next to Warren SCOPE Center.

There’s going to be a whole lineup of local vendors, fall goodies, honey, produce, baked goods, a cooking demo, Master Gardeners… and obviously an irresponsible amount of sourdough coming with me. 😂🥖

I’m already plotting the menu, and yes… PUMPKIN WILL ABSOLUTELY BE INVOLVED. 🎃

Come grab lunch, shop small, support local, and take some carbs home for the weekend. 🍞🍂

Step #2: SHAPING. 👏🏼🥖

Wellllll… now I’m invested, so apparently you’re all coming along for this science experiment. 😂

I’m feeling a little more confident. The dough is definitely slightly wetter than my normal dough, but that’s okay—I’ve wrestled wet dough before and lived to tell the tale. 💪🏼

She shaped. She cooperated. Nobody cried.

Now… how she actually bakes will be the BIG reveal. 👀🔥

Still making ZERO promises, but confidence level has officially gone from “this may be focaccia” to “wait a minute… we might actually have something here.” 😂

So I have a very recent NEW obsession…

Delirium Pickling LLC’s Hunky Hot Peppers on my soft sourdough sandwich bread. 🤤🌶️

Like… I cannot stop eating it.

SOOOOO naturally, my brain said:
“Put the peppers IN the bread.”

I’m doing a trial run and making ZERO promises because brine + fermentation can be a temperamental little situation. 😂 But you know me—I’m always willing to risk a perfectly good batch of dough in the name of science.

I love these peppers enough that I’m crossing every finger and toe that this works.

And if it doesn’t?

There’s always focaccia.
You really have to work pretty hard to screw that up. 😂
