Researchers involved in imaging and quantifying live, thick tissues, embryos or model multicellular organisms often encounter light scattering, resulting in ‘noisy’ images that hinder precise observation and quantification over time.

Our new Application Note explores how Gradient Light Interference Microscopy (GLIM) can transform your research. By combining the Excelitas X-Cite NOVEM and PCO sCMOS cameras for quantitative phase imaging with GLIM, researchers can reduce light scattering to produce high-contrast images while enabling optical sectioning for detailed 3D imaging of thick specimens.

As Excelitas celebrates the holiday season, the importance of innovation and efficiency is top of mind, even during the festivities. Forgotten candles or a short circuit on holiday lights – if a fire starts at home, it should not get out of control. That’s why it’s essential for curtains and home textiles to be equipped with flame-retardant properties.

Essex Flameproofing, a leader in flame-retardant treatments, faced growing demand for faster drying in their production process. By retrofitting their system with our Noblelight medium wave infrared solution, they now dry coat upholstery fabric in just one pass—three times faster than before!
