Trans-Fatitude

Hello to all past Trans-Fatituders - I wanted to reach out and let you know what is up with the event this year (2016). Given how the weather has been unusual (up until these last few days!) and the fact that we are undertaking a major store renovation this month, we have decided to skip holding Trans-Fatitude this year. One additional factor has been the ice levels (or lack thereof) on many of the lakes in the area. In order to get distance for these rides, avoid motor traffic and stay off of snowmobile trails whenever possible, we need to do lake crossings, and this year's warm temps have made this dicey to say the least. We hope to re-instate this event next year if possible. Sorry to disappoint and enjoy the otherwise great fat biking conditions we are having on some of the shorter, groomed trails.

Global Fat Bike Day is approaching!

Latitude 45/Twisted Stone Cycling Teamer Kevin Wright is hosting a ride in Charlevoix to celebrate the fat tire fun.
Here are the details:
Saturday, December 5th
Start/End at Lake Charlevoix Brewing Company. (downtown Charlevoix)
11:00 AM departure.
Couple possible routes. (Similar to last year, which was approx 20 miles, or slightly longer, more adventurous 30-ish miles. Enroute modifications possible.)
Final route to be determined by weather, snow, who shows & group consensus.
This is a no drop, guided ride.

Bring the fat bikes!

Ahhh memories...that's what it looked like in 2013. What will this year's photo portray? Mark your calenders for the annual Bikes, Brats and Slaw Bike Party coming up Wednesday April 29th.
