A lot of people have reached out asking for recipes, and like I mentioned I am more than happy to share! A lot of the recipes I use are base recipes I’ve found online that I have tweaked to my liking. I’m happy to forward those base recipes, or when we are settled I will write out the updated recipes and send them to the interested parties as soon as I am able. I appreciate your patience as we get through this very busy time!

Some of you already know, but it’s time we make an official announcement.

We’re moving at the end of the month. No, unfortunately we will not be staying in the area. Our family will be relocating out of state. Our landlords are selling their property, and there are no rentals available that are suitable for our family. We looked, and waited, and hoped that somehow the perfect rental would become available locally, but it just didn’t work out that way.

I know some of you will be disappointed to hear this news, but please understand that our options were extremely limited. This community has become family to us in the two short years we’ve lived in Waldport. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with kindness and endless support of our family and our business.

The Oregon coast will always hold a special place in our hearts. I first came here to vacation in Seal Rock with my family almost 10 years ago when my first born was just a baby. In 2020, my husband and I road-tripped for our honeymoon all across the coast from Cannon Beach to Monterey, CA. We had the opportunity to rent an adorable little home in Nye beach for a few years and our love for the Oregon Coast only grew. Eventually we ended up here in Waldport. Our children have adored their schools, teachers, and the friends they’ve made here. My husband and I have made some amazing friends and connections as well.

I hope you all know how much we truly appreciate you and your support. Not just because you purchased our baked goods, but because you genuinely cared about the wellbeing of our family. You put food on our tables. You shared your stories and your hearts with us. We will never forget this part of our journey.

With all of that being said, we will have a few more porch stands this month before we leave. We will not be attending anymore Wednesday Markets. I know some of you REALLY love our cookies, bread, and other baked goods. I am more than happy to share some of your favorite recipes, so please don’t hesitate to ask! We will also be having a couple of yard sales so we can downsize before our move. I won’t be baking nearly as often, so I’ll be selling some baking supplies if any bakers (or aspiring bakers!) are interested. Keep an eye out for our yard sale flyers!

Good morning, Waldport! We will NOT be at the Wednesday Market today. Someone (*said with annoyance*) unplugged my baking fridge yesterday and I didn’t notice until it was too late to get new cold ingredients. Perks of having a bunch of littles running around! I suppose the bright orange extension cord was just too tempting. I’ll pick up some new ingredients today and we’ll have some porch stands to make it up to you! 🫶🏻

Friends, please remember that everyone’s time is valuable. This means showing up on time to retrieve your orders, or at the bare minimum communicate that you’re running behind. I stayed up all night because someone placed a large, complex order for pick up at 10am. I do not like to bake in advance because I want to ensure your orders are as fresh as possible. This means pulling frequent all nighters. When a customer shows up an hour and a half late to pick up an order with no effort to communicate the delay, it can be highly frustrating. I of all people know what it’s like to be running late, but please, just be respectful and communicate. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk. 🫶🏻

We’re open!! 🤍

Okay friends here’s today’s update! Everything is baked, cooling, and waiting to be packaged. My migraine and toothache have me moving in slow motion, but it’s getting done! We have jalapeño cheddar bread fresh out of the oven, brown butter CC cookies (singles and stacks), and vanilla coconut cupcakes with a guava filling topped with coconut buttercream and toasted coconut 🥥 for our special birthday treat! Thank you for your patience! Everything should be out around 3:30.

*we have Rosemary Parmesan bread in the oven as well - it will be out shortly!

Update number 3 (😭): Friday. I promise. My birthday is on Saturday and I want to do something special for the stand, so I promise we will be open! 🎂

Update: Porch will be open on THURSDAY at 10am instead!

PSA: We will NOT be set up at the Waldport Wednesday Market tomorrow. It seems I have an impacted wisdom tooth and OW, I guess that’s why people have them removed as kids! I’m in too much pain to function properly. We will have some things on the porch for anyone who wants to swing by, but I won’t be able to bake enough for a market. We will have a half dozen loaves of bread, some chocolate chip cookies, single cinnamon rolls, and more butter mochi! Thank you for your understanding!

I do appreciate your patience as it took way longer than planned to get everything out on the stand today! If you need a late afternoon treat, bread for dinner (on special!) or something yummy for dessert, please stop by! I will say, the cinnamon rolls came out especially yummy today, and I wouldn’t mind eating them all myself if y’all don’t buy them! 😅😂 Fresh soup is in the cooler bag on the table.
