My husband has been asking me to make homemade sourdough buns for weeks. I finally got around to it last night and today.

He’s requested they become a regular item in our house! 💯

It was a day full of bread making.

I do have (2) EXTRA artisan sourdough loaves! $10 each and will be available for pickup or local delivery tomorrow.

The first photo compares a full size loaf to a mini loaf, which is used in the bread flight boxes for teacher appreciation.

Sassy T was excited that Mama had extra bread because that means we got to cut into one!

It was a busy afternoon in the kitchen using up some sourdough discard that had been in the fridge.

I made a pan of everything bagel crackers, granola (amazing on yogurt), and tortillas. My tortillas are anything but perfect, but they do taste good.

I now have some essentials prepped and ready for the week so I don’t have to buy them at the store with all the extra preservatives in them.

🍎 Teacher appreciation is quickly approaching.
It’s May 4th-8th.

This specific menu will be for that week. All orders need to be turned in by 4/30 so I can prep to be ready for baking that weekend. Orders will be ready on 5/3 and 5/4.

Sourdough Breads:
Traditional Artisan $10
Jalapeño Cheddar $15
Chocolate Chip $15
Italian Herb & Cheese $15
Flight Box $20

An option that I am planning on offering specifically for Teacher Appreciation week is a bread flight box. It would include 4 mini (250g. Large loaves are about 900g) loaves of bread, just big enough for you to sample and try them all.

6/$10, 12/$18
Chocolate Chip
Salted Caramel Pretzel
Salted Toffee

Muffins:
Coffee Cake $2.50 each
Blueberry $2 each
Lemon Poppyseed $2 each
Raspberry White Chocolate $2.50 each

Muffins will not be available in a variety box.

Someone asked me today if I had a general idea on what I was going to have on the menu for Teacher Appreciation Week/Mothers Day week.

What would you like to see offered? I was thinking maybe a few different muffin flavors, definitely cookies of some sort, and of course some bread.

Thank you to everyone who placed an order with me this week. This isn’t even half of what was baked, but between taking care of kids and baking, I didn’t manage to photograph everything.

8.5 dozen cookies, 9 loaves of bread, and 1 dozen cinnamon rolls were all baked this weekend. Again, thank you for the support. 🤍🤍

Chili Scallion Cheddar loaf tasted great today under some farm fresh over easy eggs ☀️

I haven’t purchased eggs from the store in over a year. It’s a small switch we made, and I purchase farm fresh eggs from my neighbor down the road. If you order baked goods from me, they will only contain farm fresh eggs. You have no idea how long those eggs in the store have been sitting or what all has been sprayed on them.

I remember as a kid, my Pawpaw Markin, would always use his toast to clean the egg yolks off his plate. We would go out to the chicken coop with him and feed them, then get some fresh eggs. Maw-maw would then cook them for us when we got back inside. So now, anytime I have over-easy eggs, I do the same thing. It’s one of those core memories I have from childhood. Pawpaw has been gone for almost 16 years, but I always think of him when I have over easy eggs. ❤️
