1 year ago today, I loaded my very first paid cake order into my car, hands shaking the entire drive, praying it wouldn’t slide around.

And today, Maiah’s Cakery is officially ONE!

Making this cake with the Maiah’s Cakery logo for our anniversary felt so surreal. I’m honestly just so grateful. I’ve learned a ton this year about running a business, mastering scratch-baking, and trying not to panic during deliveries.

To everyone in Upper Marlboro and around the DMV who has ordered a birthday cake, anniversary treats, or just shared my posts, thank you. You have no idea how much your support means to me.
