Young chefs deserve more than just cooking lessons — they need opportunities to build real skills, confidence and a future!

The Knead Cooperative is excited to launch our next Knead & Grind Culinary Learning Center cohort beginning September 28, 2026!

👩🏾‍🍳 Ages 7–18
📅 Monday • Wednesday • Friday
☀️ Daytime Academy: 9:30–11:30 AM | $275
🎒 After-School Academy: 3:00–5:30 PM | $325

Parents, we’re making breakfast, school lunches and after-school activities easier!

Knead Kids Lunch Club offers kid-friendly breakfasts, hot and cold lunches, charcuterie boxes, snacks, fresh beverages and sweet treats.

Perfect for school, sports teams, dance, cheer, tutoring, daycare and other youth activities. Group pricing is available for 10 or more children.

Pickup is available Sunday and Monday. Local delivery is available with a $40 minimum.

531 S. McLean Blvd. Delivery is also available.

Orders and payment are due Thursdays & Fridays by 8 PM.

If you have GreenWise-brand Organic Frozen Whole Blueberries or Whole Mixed Berries, do not eat, sell, or serve them. The recalled products were sold at Publix stores in several states, including Tennessee.

Please check your freezer and discard or return any affected product. FDA’s investigation is ongoing.

I’m excited to officially open registration for our Knead & Grind Culinary Learning Center this fall!

Early Bird Registration: July 31 – August 31, 2026

Our first 4-week Kitchen Foundations cohort begins September 8 and runs through October 1, 2026. Classes meet Tuesday–Thursday at Christ City Church, 531 S. McLean Blvd., Memphis.

We’re offering:
- Daytime culinary classes for homeschool students
- Hands-on culinary field trips for youth groups and schools
- Adult cooking classes on select days
- Junior & Teen After-School Academy

Families can also become members of The Knead Cooperative and enjoy early registration, scholarship opportunities, cooking competitions, workforce development, college and career readiness workshops, apprenticeship opportunities, family cooking nights, and more.

Don’t panic… plant something. 🌱

With all the food recalls lately, I’ve decided to focus more on what I can control. So I’m learning to grow my own food—onions, cucumbers, rosemary, parsley, and marigolds.

I’ve actually already harvested from some of these containers last year, and just the other night I clipped fresh onion tops (scallions) for dinner. I had even forgotten I planted onion seeds in one of these buckets until they started growing again.

These are still test plantings, and I’m learning as I go. Some things will flourish, some won’t, and that’s okay. Every seed teaches you something.

Sometimes we panic when things don’t happen the way we planned, but God is still working beneath the surface.

Don’t panic… pivot!

Keep planting, keep learning, and trust that what you’ve sown will produce a harvest in its season. 💚

🚨 IMPORTANT FOOD SAFETY UPDATE 🚨

To our valued guests,

Because your health and safety come first, Kutie Pies Catering & Events is taking proactive steps in response to the recent nationwide reports involving a foodborne parasite linked to certain fresh produce.

Effective immediately, we will temporarily discontinue serving raw produce (including raw salad greens, lettuce, and uncooked garnishes) until further notice.

Instead, we will:
✔️ Serve vegetables that have been thoroughly cooked.
✔️ Carefully source any fresh produce we use from trusted local urban garden partners whenever possible.
✔️ Continue following strict ServSafe food safety standards, supplier verification, and sanitation procedures.

This decision was made out of an abundance of caution—not because we have had any issues with our food, but because we believe prevention is always better than reaction.

Your trust means everything to us, and we will never compromise when it comes to your health. We will continue monitoring guidance from public health agencies and will update you when normal service of raw produce resumes.

🗣️ This Is My Why!

One of our Junior Chefs learned how to make Chicken & Waffles at camp last Tuesday. This weekend, he took those skills home and cooked breakfast for his family!

His mom sent me a video of him in the kitchen while she stood nearby filming, coaching, and cheering him on. Watching his confidence in the kitchen and hearing the excitement in her voice was everything.

It’s not just about teaching kids how to cook. It’s about teaching life skills, building confidence, and creating future leaders.

So when y’all see me slanging plates at the lounge late nights and weekends, catering weddings, meal prepping, competing in cooking competitions, officiating weddings, and hosting workshops—this is why.

Every dollar I earn helps support The Knead Cooperative and the next generation of chefs, entrepreneurs, and leaders.

A young chef cooking breakfast for his family may seem like a small thing, but to me, it’s a big win. 💚
