God just knows the perfect timing for things. ❤️
Yesterday, I was sitting at the shop talking with a potential new vendor when one of my vendors came in needing help moving a mini fridge. She didn’t really have anyone to help, so she walked outside, found two guys who happened to be sitting out front, and offered them $5 to help us carry it in.
They helped us and wouldn’t take anything in return.
But looking back, I don’t think they were there just to move a refrigerator.
I think God brought them through that door for a reason.
I ended up talking with Bo and Daniel, and Bo shared that he’s been here for some time but hasn’t found a church family yet. He loves the Lord, and he told me that when he walked into the shop, he just felt His presence and knew there was a reason he was there.
We stood there sharing our testimonies, talking about Jesus, life, blessings, love, and everything in between. And yes—I gave him some of the biggest hugs because, y’all, I'm a GREAT hugger. 😂❤️
But he also challenged me with a couple of questions that have stuck with me:
What is a blessing?
Someone can hand you $100, and that can simply be a gift. But when you recognize that God provided exactly what you needed through that person and you turn around and thank Him for it—that’s when you recognize the blessing.
And then he asked:
What is love?
Love is assigning value to something. We do it every single day, whether we realize it or not. We choose what matters to us. We choose what gets our time, our attention, our energy, and our hearts.
And when Jesus is the One we value above everything else, everything begins to look a little different.
This week, God has forced me to slow down. To take my eyes off work, stress, deadlines, problems, and all the things that can consume us—and instead, truly SEE people.
To have conversations.
To give hugs.
To listen.
To share my testimony.
To hear someone else’s.
To make a human connection.
To love people.
And most importantly, to share the light and love of Jesus.
Yesterday started with moving a mini fridge.
But God knew it was never really about the fridge.
Two men happened to be sitting outside at exactly the right moment. They walked through my door for what seemed like a random reason, and one of them left an impact on my heart that I’m still thinking about today.
There are no accidental encounters when God is involved.
So here’s my challenge for you today:
Go forth and tell somebody about your Jesus.
Slow down long enough to see the person in front of you. Have the conversation. Give the hug. Share your story. Listen to theirs.
You never know why God placed someone in your path—or why He placed YOU in theirs.
Then see how your day ends.
God bless. 🙏
