It is with a heavy heart to share the sad news of the passing of our founder, Carlitos Montoya

In 1996, with tremendous passion, hard work, and his mother's secret recipe, Carlitos started his successful Alfajores business. Carlitos was incredibly influential in the awareness and appreciation of Alfajores in the Northern VA/Washington DC area.

Today, it's hard to walk into a Peruvian restaurant or Polleria, and not see one of his Alfajores or Piononos on the dessert menu. With over 6 million Alfajores enjoyed by the locals.

His family will continue his legacy, and the famous quality and taste of his Alfajores will continue to live on.
