I had knee surgery this morning and I’m currently feeling great! 😊

Thank you SO much to everyone who has reached out with texts, calls, prayers, and sweet messages. I truly appreciate every single one of you more than you know. Your support means the world to me — both in business and in life. 💛

Now time to rest, recover, and maybe dream up some new cookie designs while I’m off my feet 😉

Hello lovelies! ✨

For those of you who are new here (and since I’ve been a little quiet for a while), I wanted to reintroduce myself.

My name is Megan — but you’ll also hear Meg, Aunt Meggy, or Red if you’re one of my favorite people 😉

The very first cake I ever made was for my nephew’s first birthday… and he turns 9 this April! What started as baking for family — kids’ birthdays, Christmas sugar cookies, and sweet treats for friends — quickly turned into something I realized I was not only good at, but truly passionate about.

I graduated from SDSU (Go Jacks! 💙💛) in May of 2024 with a degree in Business Economics and a minor in Studio Art. Throughout college, I worked at Cubby’s Sports Bar, where I discovered my love for serving.

In March of 2025, my boyfriend and I moved back to Sioux Falls, and I now serve & bartend at Hook and Ladder on the west side!

When I’m not baking, you can usually find me drawing, reading, binge-watching movies, crocheting, or playing softball (I have a lot of hobbies, okay 🤷🏼‍♀️).

I’m so excited to be creating more again, and I can’t wait to work with you all 🖤

Well… the wait is over 💜

✨ Aunt Meg’s is back! ✨

This past year has been full of big changes, a new city, and a slower pace — but every order, message, and check-in meant more than you know. Thank you for keeping my passion alive.

Now for a quick update:

I’ll be having knee surgery at the beginning of March (because life loves a plot twist 😅).

Over the next couple of months, I’ll be sharing some of my favorite creations from the past year, and I’ll be ready to take on more orders starting:

MAY — just in time for graduation season! 🎉

Jeremy was my boss for nearly six years while I worked my way through school. Through every major (and major change), both in school and in life, he was always one of my biggest supporters — just as he’s been for so many of his staff and for our whole community.

Big news ahead! Aunt Meg’s is heading to Sioux Falls!

After months of planning and searching, we’ve found our new home in Sioux Falls, and I couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter.

I want to express my heartfelt thanks to the Brookings community for all the support over the years. Leaving a town I love is bittersweet, but I’m looking forward to what’s next!

That said, I’ve made the difficult decision to stop taking orders for March, April, and May, or until I have adjusted to the new city. But don’t worry if you’ve already placed an order—I'll make sure it’s completed as promised!
