On August 17, we celebrate six years of Saigon’s Civet Café.
I see thousands of mornings sunrise. Countless of pastries, and soups, cups of coffee, quiet conversations, laughter echoing through the dining room, and little moments that became memories without anyone realizing it.
These walls have witnessed far more than customers coming and going. They have witnessed personal dreams, disappointments, heartbreak, healing, and countless roller coaster moments of optimism and pessimism.
There were voices filled with criticism, moments of ridicule, and even betrayal from a lot peoples I once loved. But none of it changed what we were building.
And yet, here we are.
The business is doing great. The team is doing an amazing job. And as for me, I’ve overcome, I adapted, and learned and I conquer my daily tasks
Life is good, peace & quiet
Looking back, I realize the growth of this place isn’t measured only by revenue or recognition. It’s measured by the love, memories, and connections created by every person who has walked through these doors.
I could sit here and tell you countless stories—beautiful moments, difficult moments, funny moments, and unforgettable ones—that have become part of the history soaked into these walls.
I’m thankful to every customer. To every family who chose to celebrate their special moments here. To every employee who stayed through the difficult times and believed in the vision.
Thank you.
You have become part of this story.
As we celebrate another year, I don’t know exactly what the future holds.
But I do know this:
Today I chose from fear to faith. From survival to Wisdom.
God is good.
As long as these doors continue to open each morning, there will always be fresh coffee, pastries, lunch & soups. 🫡
Here’s to another year of memories.
Here’s to another year of growth even higher
And here’s to everyone who made Saigon’s Civet Café more than just a café.
Happy 6th Anniversary, Saigon’s Civet Café. ☕️❤️
