My Story

She believed she could, so she did.

Hi! I'm Elizabeth. Milk and Cookies started in my parents' kitchen during my pursuit to find out what makes me happy. During that quest I found myself continually baking and sharing my cookies with family and friends. It was then that I realized that what makes me the most happy is making others smile. They smiled as they bit into a delicious, over-sized cookie. They smiled as they were reminded of their childhood, patiently waiting as the smell of cookies wafted through the house. They smiled, and laughed, as they slowed down and enjoyed a moment with others. It was during those moments that Milk and Cookies was born.

I'm a mom of two fearless, energetic, kind, and cookie-loving daughters (and a puppy). I am a wife to the most supportive and loving husband whose endless belief in me keeps me going on those tough days. I am a daughter of two parents who always encourage me to follow my dreams. I am a sister who knows that I will always have an ear to listen to me, even at 3:00 AM. I am a friend who will drop everything to help another friend, knowing he or she will do the same for me. I am a teacher who encourages failure and learning how to become resilient. I am a runner, swimmer, hiker, reader, and traveler. I am a cookie baker.

Cleveland is my city. I was born and raised here and am proud to call Cleveland my home. I chose to build my family here because of the people. It is a city of grit. A city of perseverance, hard work, resiliency, kindness, heart, and loyalty. Clevelanders do not give up and we help each other to succeed. Milk and Cookies is a Cleveland company through and through. At the end of the day (and beginning and middle too), the qualities that make Cleveland a great city are the ones I try to emulate in Milk and Cookies, from the moment I purchase ingredients to when the final product is sold and every aspect in between.
