I've been thinking about Independence Day painting ideas, and I've narrowed it down to a couple designs!! 👀

I wanted to get all my ducks in a row before I started putting paint down on this enormous canvas, and I thought it might be helpful to show y'all how I tackle the first stage ~ the design and layout!!

Just by doing a trial painting, I discovered a few things I wanted to change, and a few things I liked enough to keep. This helps so much with brush technique, too!!
