Intersection of F & 6 yesterday, 12/1/2021, mud & ice & logging equipment. The view has changed quite a bit out here (South Summit Sno-Park State land).
Equipment is leaving with snow as I understand & we should have our full trail system when it snows.

Coming down #10 pole pick yesterday afternoon, spring ski delight.
Plenty of dirt & debris to lookout for on the southern exposures but it was smile inducing fun.

Final grooming of the season complete.

3-25-2021 Friday, 07:00, Spring conditions, dirt popping out, watch for obstacles but coverage good mostly; tilled & track set trails: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, lower 8, 9, upper K9, south 10, 11, F. Off trail consolidated base 0 - 24", should be good spring skiing as long as it's freezing at night. Harvest the corn snow during the temperature sweet spot for the tastiest skiing.

Last grooming of the season happens tonight. If I've done my math right we have 6 hours of cat time left on the contract. I'm going to ask for more for next season as the increase in visitation warrants it.
I'll post again in the AM & let you know how it went.

3/17/21, 27°f at 02:00, clear skies, tilled trails: 1, 6-7 loop, first third upper K9, 11- road 41 loop, north summit access. Spring conditions, watch for obstacles.
Next week last grooming, condition dependent.

South Summit spring skiing was great Sunday, fast in the AM with softer corn to be found in the afternoon. I call these lumps 'tree dumplings', plenty of sun related trail changes happening out there, #7 will have water before too long.
Wednesday morning fresh groom this week with warmer temps & precipitation forecast this weekend.

3/10/2021 at 02:00, 17°f mostly clear, spring conditions.
Tilled & tracked trails: 1, 6 - 7 loop, K9, 10, Road 41 from southern 10 to trailhead.
Bear Mtn luge is done for the season, did my best to till out track marks on Nirvana, Nexus, east inner loop, not recommended; dirt on Gabion. For those of you that love the vert of Bear it's open season. Flat & lodge loops also at the ski bowl.
Will groom again Friday morning.

Dusting of fresh snow Sunday morning is making it slow when the sun's out. Look for a Wednesday morning (3/10) refresh this week, forecast for warmer temps at the end of the week.
