Here is the sugar cookie recipe I always use. It makes 24 to 30 cookies depending on cookie cutter sizes.
Sugar Cookie recipe
3 sticks soften butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 to 3 tsp Vanilla extract
2 to 3 tsp Almond extract
1 tsp baking powder
5 to 5 1/4 cups sugar
