First layer cake I’ve made in over 8 months. It’s wild how long I stopped baking for. Still not open for orders but I just wanted to share. This chocolate cake was for my boyfriend’s birthday. Nice to know I’ve still got it! 🎂

Cake is tradition. For me it’s a rich chocolatey buttermilk cake. I’ve had it every year for my birthday for as long as I can remember. It’s my family’s recipe that my mom grew up eating at many a family gathering. In recent years, I’ve made the nondairy version and this year finally got it just right. As much as I adore making beautiful layer cakes, the simplicity of a simple chocolate sheet cake is sentimental to me, and all I really need to celebrate another trip around the sun. Yesterday was my 30th, and I’m very much looking forward to this new decade of life.
🎂There’s nothing like making cake for someone’s special day or celebration. I hope to get back to baking for the community soon. This little bakery out of my home has always stemmed from a place of wanting to share delicious home baked goods. I’m hoping to bring a sense of warmth and nostalgia to my bakes. I want to bring you the type of bakes that make you think of your grandma’s kitchen, your mom’s homemade cookies, your favorite childhood birthday cake. I want to make cake that will give you happy memories and maybe even start your own tradition. 🎂

Closed temporarily! I’ve been closed unofficially for a bit but I thought I would share this officially. Not only have I wanted to rework my business model, but I have some personal stuff going on that I need to focus on so unfortunately I don’t have time to bake right now. I hope to open sometime in the next month with some yummy fall offerings. My sincerest apologies if you’ve reached out regarding an order and I hope to be baking for you all again soon! 💕
