I have struggled over the years with weight and finally decided in 2018 to do something about it. I was worried about type 2 diabetes and also have had high blood pressure and been on medication for 10 years. So in September 2018 I started my keto journey. I began slowly just by cutting down carbs and sugar and learned as I went. Gathering information and recipes from Pinterest and Facebook keto groups. After a few months and about 30 lbs I was looking for a keto bakery. Many cities have them, so I was looking for something local and unfortunately, I realized we do not have one in metro Detroit. I began to test recipes and survey people in the local keto groups to test the interest. Using co-workers and family as my test groups, I came up with a few good recipes.
My family and I came up with the No Sugar Momma name, my daughters made a page and a spreadsheet for orders and off we went in January of 2019. My mom and daughters have made this all possible, they are an amazing resource and without them I could not do it, No Sugar Momma is truly a family business!
