For the cake you can use the same base as my Black Forest cake batter...the only difference is you will use a full sheet vs a 10inch cake pan, and you bake it only for about 15minutes.

For the filling:
900g of heavy whipping cream
Powder sugar (as much as you like based on taste)

Strawberry jam or a homemade strawberry compote or really any fruit!

I bought my dirndl when we spend 5 weeks in Germany …near lake Chiemsee and it was one of the most beautiful stores! The culture, the history and the quality of a German dirndl is just so special.

There are dirndl costumes …but the ones I have are the real deal and NOT a costume 🤣🙈😬😅🥰

Getting ready for my next market on June 6th, and I’m also in the process of working on a whole sale license so that’s been a fun and exciting next step.

My tip is to use white spelt flour! I think it’s the best for it and makes it extra soft!

For the dough ...use the same
recipe as my
strawberry Marscapone cake (just bake it thinner and as a rectangle....for about 15min at 350f)

For the filling :
1000g heavy cream
Powder sugar or 3 packages vanilla sugar (based on your taste
Strawberry or raspberry

Tip: roll up when still hot and let it cool rolled up!

I have decided to move to substack …I will keep my blog of course, but since each blog post takes a few hours I love the idea of also being able to share recipes and blog posts that are much quicker and not based on SEO! If your on substack I’d love for you to follow along 🤍

In blogging there are recipes that are just not worth sharing since it will never be found on Google…so for me the idea to share recipes more freely without needing all of the backend structure feels like the perfect balance. My blog will continue to grow…and I will keep adding recipes…but substack will be a place I can share recipes that I bake all the time without needing to sit down for 4hours to write 😊
