After a few months of learning what it really takes to launch a small business, I’ve decided that this just isn’t the right season of life for it. Bake Shift will be closing for the foreseeable future.

I’m truly grateful for the kind and friendly people I’ve met here in Traer and for all of the support, encouragement, and excitement you’ve shared along the way. It has meant so much to me.
I’m not sure what the future holds for Bake Shift, but if the time comes to reopen, you’ll be the first to know.

Hey everyone! Just a heads up, I’m not taking custom orders this weekend. I’m taking a little break to test out some new recipes and restock the flour supply.

Fun fact: all the flour I use is certified organic and locally sourced right here in central Iowa!

Here are a few flavors you can order weekly—just let me know about 2 days ahead so I can ensure I have all the ingredients and the dough has enough time to proof! Pickup will need to be after 5PM from Traer Monday through Friday, and other times can be discussed for weekends!

- Maple Pumpkin – $10
- Garlic & Herb – $8
- Cheddar – $8
- Jalapeño Cheddar – $8
- Chocolate Chip - $8
- Light Honey Wheat – $7

Bake Shift will be back at the Traer Farmers Market this Saturday 9/20 from 9AM to noon weather permitting! We will have cheddar bread, garlic and herb bread, and maple pumpkin bread! If rain or storms keep us from going to the market, fresh bread will still be available to pick up at my house in Traer from 9AM-3PM on Saturday! Thank you for your ongoing support!
