I have had Janna's cakes many times through a friend, so I ordered my daughter's birthday cake from her. It was to be a 4 layer cake, of alternating flavors. The cake that was delivered, while pretty, was not what I ordered. It had a single small tier on top of it. When it was cut into, it was really frosting with a tiny bit of cake. My same friend contacted Janna and was told that they had dropped the cake they originally made, and this was the last minute substitute. To call it sloppy would be an understatement. No one had the decency to contact ME, the customer, to tell me this. I understand that things happen, but I would have liked to have been told upfront. I do appreciate that my daughter still had a cake, but this could have been handled a lot better.
