📢🎊BIG ANNOUNCEMENT🎊📢

Tomorrow we will be moving all of our equipment into the former Bandit’s in Haymarket Square on Main St. Downtown Sylvania, and I couldn’t be happier.

For now, the idea is to turn it into a production kitchen and move the pickups there. So it won’t be a traditional storefront in the sense that we won’t be open to the public with a case full of pastries and staff on hand. But honestly, I like it that way.

I think the pre-order system that we have been running with for the past couple of months is pretty awesome, and it enables me to make as much as I can with a very very small team (me, my husband, and whatever family members we have suckered into helping us haha).

This is not to say we won’t be opening a more traditional bakery in the future, but there is a lot of risk involved in it (employees, food waste, etc.) and I want to make sure we continue to grow in a slow and mindful way, which is very very important to me.

Thank you so SO much for all of your continued support, this literally wouldn’t be happening without all of you who engage with my content on social media, order for pickups or come to see us at the market. We were able to secure this space entirely with the revenue of the bakery without having to go into debt in any way, which is entirely thanks to you.

Guys!! Exciting event.

To make up for the lack of drops this week and the next, I will be attending an extra event next Saturday, August 22nd (let's just pretend I haven't known about this for weeks lol!).

Thank you SO much to sad snacks for organizing such an awesome event and for highlighting so many local small businesses. The event starts at 10AM and lasts until 3PM, at 1914 Oaklawn Dr.

Ginny’s Sweet Treats will have treats of all kinds for all you GF baddies. She asked me today if nine items is crazy. It is.

She's Eating It has cool zines and hand made pet costumes. And, dudes, turns out some of those pet costumes are also good porch goose masks. Just saying.

Elf Owl Pottery Has the friggin coolest stuff including ghosts and I already have one but will need infinity more. Thank you very much.

Hi everyone!

As some of you might have noticed, there was no drop this week. There wont be one next week either (sorry😭🙏🏻) BUT it’s all for good and awesome reasons that I will share with you guys very very soon👹

However for now, I am baking up a storm for this Saturday’s market, so if you need your pastry fix from me until everything gets settled, you know where to find me! 💪🏻

I also wanted to celebrate the fact that we have surpassed 🎊📣600 subscribers🎊📣 on Hotplate (our pre-order site).

It is just so crazy to me that every time our drops go live on Saturdays, a text goes out to over SIX HUNDRED people. Its actually kind of hard for me to grasp. To the point where like sometimes I just stare at the number in awe.

Summer is on its way out, but here's some amazing things happening in August for you to do before it starts getting cold again.

Saturdays in August:
Toledo Farmers' Market from 8am to 2pm with breads, flowers, veggies and more. Check out Lunara Bakery (she sells out FAST so get there early) and head to Souk Mediterranean Kitchen & Bar for their Saturday brunch or head to the new Swanky Scoops 419 (11am to 8pm) right by the Farmer's Market for homemade hand scooped ice cream.

August 7-9th Flag City Balloon Fest in Findlay Ohio. Over 40 hot air balloons up in the sky, food vendors, drone shows, there's a lot going on more info at Visit Findlay

August 7-9th Toledo Jeep Fest 10am Saturday is the All Jeep Parade with people coming from all over the country in their.... Jeeps! Jeep Fest brings in over 100k visitors every year and helps the city economy. Come downtown for the weekend and check out local restaurants and bars that are coming up with Jeep themed drinks and food specials.

August 12th Perseids meteor shower peak. 60+ meteors per hour in nature's free most spectacular night display. Find a dark place away from the city lights, put down a blanket and look up. We're in luck this year with a new moon, meaning no moon. If you want the best viewing Lake Hudson State Rec has a dark sky park but please make sure to obey park rules and dim your car lights when entering and leaving!

August 14-16 Toledo Pride is in it's 17th year as a non profit with one of the most colorful and fun weekends in downtown Toledo. Drag shows Friday night, a parade Saturday at noon, and food trucks, performances, live music, and more down at Promenade Park from 1pm to 10pm. There's even a Nite Glo 5K. Free.

August 15th Barefoot At The Beach summer beach party for Boys & Girls Clubs of Toledo a non profit fundraiser known as the best beach party of the year in Toledo. Get your tickets on their page and come support a cause that helps the youth of our community. I'll be there. 7pm to 11pm 30+ of Toledo's best restaurants, music, fireworks, bonfires and more.

August 16th The Birmingham Ethnic Festival puts on its Hungarian Club of Toledo party with Hungarian food, cultural dances, and more. Chicken paprikas? Hunky Turkey? Yes! But don't be late as I hear some of the food sells out. Located in the Historic Birmingham neighborhood along Consaul St starting at 12pm going to 8pm.

August 22nd Ridin Late in County 48 A late night family friendly slow roll through 9 miles of City of Sylvania, Ohio highlighting parks, businesses, and scenery. If you love biking, go register on their page and take your time to see Sylvania. They've been hit by construction and could use a little attention :)

August 28th-29th German-American Festival (GAF) in it's 60th year. Food, drinking, music, dancing. Put on your dirndl or lederhosen and get ready for brats, sauerkraut, and more.

I don’t think I have mentioned it anywhere BUT I have added almond croissants and Kouign-amann to the drops! (They were pretty much a market exclusive but no more👹)

It’s been a lil while since I have done one of my ✨classic✨ ramble-y posts because you guys have been keeping me BUSY.
My production cycle for my baked goods takes 4 days; so ever since the porch pickups came back, I pretty much only have Sundays and half of Monday to rest. Which is not me complaining because I am a severe workaholic but it does make everything else surrounding the business besides baking a little difficult.

So if you have messaged me or email me and not gotten a response, I am SO sorry. I am trying 😭🙏🏻

I have also been working really hard on a few other things behind the scenes (I love saying that, makes me feel like a diva💅🏼) that I am dying to be able to tell you BUT I CANT BECAUSE ITS NOT WRITTEN IN STONE YET.
Okay, I’m calm.

Anyway!! Thank you again everyone for being the absolute best customers and people and friends that I could have asked for…

Even tho my Saturdays start at midnight they are probably my favorite day of the week.

I just love saying hi to everyone and seeing how much my work brightens people’s days.
