We have strived over the years since 2012 to bring high quality products and baked goods to our customers. A little history of our business...... As a child growing up, I helped my mom prepare for arts and crafts shows and watched her paint beautiful paintings. In 2000, my love for candles and candlemaking took me in the direction of joining my mom at shows with my own products. This led to the cr

eation of Sweet Creation's Country Crafts, LLC in 2003. After years of attending arts and crafts shows, I had the opportunity of opening my own storefront in our family home I grew up in. In 2012 renovations began to convert the home into our storefront. While reminiscing of the time we spent in the kitchen in that family home and the love that was poured into creating those homemade sweets, I gathered our favorite family recipes. As a family we attended Wilton cake classes, gained 4 certificates ranging from basic designs in buttercream and fondant, to advanced creations. We are also self-taught in painting on cookies and creation of sculpted tiered cakes. On October 24, 2012, we officially opened a walk-in storefront bakery and gift shop to better serve our customers. Unfortunately, in 2015, after complications from a medical condition our family decided to sell the family home in which our business was based out of and we closed the walk-in storefront. In 2018 we opened an online shop named A Cajun Boy Designs, LLC to sell our remaining crafts inventory along with hand sewn pillows and blankets, vinyl shirts and other vinyl products. In 2023 after customers expressed how much they missed our sweets and we missed creating them, we decided it was time to reopen but this time as a cottage bakery. In 2025, we officially changed our name to reflect exactly what we are which is a cottage bakery. Special thanks goes out to all our family and friends for all the support and encouragement they have given us through the years! We are a family-owned and operated cottage bakery that looks forward to making many more new friends while creating your homemade sweets!

The day that started it all!!!!! October 24, 2012 ribbon cutting at our then walk-in bakery! We are now a cottage bake shop!

Our ribbon cutting! Thanks to my family and friends who attended and special Thanks to Thibodaux Chamber of Commerce! Caleb helped cut the ribbon! Special thanks goes out to my grandparents Mary and Sonny Thibodaux may they rest in peace as they have supported my candle business for many years while they were alive and have continued to from up above by giving me a place to have my gift shop, there's no place like home! Each day I walk in the shop I will treasure the memories I had here as a child growing up!
