This Sunday, I’m celebrating a 2-for-1 Mother’s Day + Birthday combo in the sweetest way possible.

Featured: my Luxury Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cake — a rich chocolate chip cake layered with edible cookie dough and finished with smooth vanilla buttercream. I did cheat and topped this one with store bought baked cookies, but rest assured, if you order this cake it will all be from scratch!

This week, I had the honor of creating a truly special cake.

My husband’s grandma used to make him an orange cake growing up—it was always his favorite. When a customer reached out asking if I could recreate that same nostalgic cake, I couldn’t say no.

I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to bring it to life—made completely from scratch with fresh ingredients and no artificial colors or flavors.

💖Nights like this are so special.💖

99% of the time William stays out of the kitchen because I'm working on orders for clients. Tonight was the special 1%.

I was making banana muffins for us so he asked if he could put his apron on and bake like Mommy.

Behind Bailey Bakes is just a mom with a passion who is already training the next generation 🤣💪.

I’m still a little speechless reflecting on yesterday…

Bailey Bakes sold out in just 2 hours at the Buffalo Market. And not just sold out — I baked more for this event than I ever have before, and every single item found a home.

Baking is such a passion of mine. Being able to make someone’s day a little sweeter or be part of celebrating a milestone is something I never take for granted. What started as a coworker and friend convincing me to sell my snickerdoodles in the neighborhood has somehow grown into what feels like a second full-time job for me — and I absolutely love it.

I love creating. I love working with people to bring their vision to life. And I love being able to provide baked goods made with simple, real ingredients that people can feel good about sharing with the people they love.

This event truly touched my heart, and I’m so incredibly grateful for the support I’ve found here in Middleton since launching Bailey Bakes in 2024. Your encouragement, kind words, and excitement mean more to me than you know.

Because of how popular they were yesterday, I’m excited to share that the Lemon Cookie is officially joining the Bailey Bakes regular menu. 🍋

Just know they’re delicious for a reason — every single batch includes the zest of 3 lemons and the juice of a whole lemon, so they are definitely a labor of love ❤️

I had multiple people tell me yesterday that it was the best cookie they have ever had, and honestly… that nearly brought me to tears.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for supporting this little dream of mine. 🤍
