FEED THE FARMERS — coming this harvest?!

I’ve been tossing around an idea that I would absolutely LOVE to turn into a little Whisked & Whipped tradition starting this fall. Once the fields start going out, I want to start Feed the Farmers.

Every Friday during harvest, I’ll choose one nominated local farmer and track them down in the field with a basket full of homemade goodies.

No catch. No purchase necessary. Just some homemade goodies to make the ridiculously long days in the field a little bit better. 🖤✨

Our farmers put in some insane hours during harvest, and this feels like a small way I can use what I do to say thank you for everything they do for our communities.

Each week I’ll open up nominations, and you can nominate your husband, wife, dad, mom, grandpa, neighbor, friend — whoever you think deserves a surprise delivery that Friday.

And yes… I fully intend on actually finding them IN the field. So there will be some coordinating with the one who nominates the recipient.

So before I officially make this a thing…

What. A. Weekend. 🫠🖤

Things kicked off Friday with my radiator deciding to off itself in the school drop-off line—because apparently we needed to add a little extra ✨chaos✨ to an already packed weekend.

And from there? We simply carried on.

One 40-hour day and an ungodly amount of caffeine later, I somehow managed to pump out:
🎂 3 cakes
🍪 12 DOZEN cookies
🍋 10 DOZEN bars
🔮 Plus this week’s Whisked x Witchcraft

Did I remember to take beautiful, perfectly staged pictures of everything before it left my kitchen?

Absolutely not. 🤪

But I managed to grab a couple, and even better, I had a few sent back to me—including evidence of my creations being absolutely DEVOURED.

And I swear, those might be my favorite pictures to receive.

There’s something incredibly rewarding about spending hours mixing, baking, decorating, packaging and obsessing over every little detail… only to later see an empty plate covered in crumbs or a little face happily digging straight into one of my cakes. 🥹

Pretty pictures are great, but empty plates might just be the best compliment a baker can get.

Now if someone could kindly tell my radiator that I have a business to run, that’d be great. 😂

Yesterday was SO GOOD. 🥹🖤

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by the Little Sioux Sunday Market, grabbed some goodies, chatted with me, shared my posts, or came specifically looking for Whisked & Whipped. You guys seriously showed UP.

Yesterday started with a little bit of chaos when I went to grab my tables from my storage unit and realized my keys were MIA. It turned into a mad rush to find tables and get everything set up, but somehow I made it happen — and I walked away almost completely SOLD OUT. 😭 I cannot thank you enough for continuing to support this little business of mine and letting me keep doing something I genuinely love.

And because you all nearly cleaned me out… I only have a few stragglers left looking for a home today 👀

If anyone was still wondering what to get me for my birthday this year… aka TODAY… don’t worry, I found it. 😘🎂

Just a casual $305,000 birthday present. Nothing crazy. Very reasonable, honestly.

I MEAN LOOK AT IT. 🥺 A storefront already set up for baked goods AND two apartments upstairs?!

Whisked & Whipped storefront downstairs… rental income upstairs… I mean, at this point it feels less like a want and more like a financially responsible birthday decision.

So if everyone could just pool their money together, that’d be great. I’ll be accepting donations, investors, wealthy benefactors, or any generous sugar daddies/mamas that would want to be repaid in sweet treats 🖤✨

Not every project makes it to social media, but these last couple of weeks have been filled with custom apparel, birthday orders, wedding invitations from design to assembly, wedding desserts, late nights at The Cauldron, and somehow moving our entire home in just two days… all while keeping up with three little Wild Thornberrys. 🖤

It’s been exhausting.
It’s been chaotic.
It’s been incredibly rewarding.

Thank you to each one of you who like, share, and recommend my little business while I build this dream into reality. I can’t wait to share more of what’s keeping me busy but for now here’s a couple projects from the last week or so ✨
