FEED THE FARMERS | WEEK 2 ✨

I know, I know, I’m a couple days late guys. BUT it was a BUSY one last week, and I know these farmers are busting their asses trying to get the fields out before the snow flies!

So for Week 2, I decided to surprise not one, but TWO farmers with some freshly baked goodies!

A HUGE congratulations to Brett Simpson and Andrew Carr!

Thank you both for everything you do, especially during this crazy busy season. I hope the goodies make these long days just a little sweeter!

And remember guys, the next time you see a tractor, a truck hauling a wagon, a semi, or a combine heading down the road, give them a friendly wave! Slow down, give them plenty of room, and when it’s safe, pull over to let those wide loads through.

Those few extra seconds of patience might not seem like much, but during harvest, they can make a world of difference. These guys are putting in some LONG days, and getting everyone home safely is what matters most. 🖤

Apparently taking pictures of my finished creations is something I’m absolutely TERRIBLE at, BUT I actually remembered to take pictures of 3 out of 4 orders last week✨

Are they the best pictures? Absolutely not. BUT at least I remembered to take them before they went out the door.

Last week’s lineup was a little bit of everything.
—Started off with a beautiful lemon blueberry birthday cake!
—A half-and-half cake with some gorgeous purple roses (which I forgot to photograph).
—The sweetest little fall-themed baby shower cookie set!
—Wrapped things up with an adorable ice cream-themed cake for a sweet little girl’s 6th birthday!

Now, will I remember to take pictures this week? Probably not. But aye, we’re making progress. 🤣

I’m SO freaking excited to announce that Whisked & Whipped will be at WOW Weekend this year✨

31 days might sound like plenty of time to some, but when you’re trying to come up with the PERFECT menu for all the fabulous women of Okoboji… it feels like NO TIME AT ALL.

My brain is already running a million directions with ideas, and let’s be real, I’ll probably change the menu 47 times between now and then. 🤪

BUT I wanna hear from you ladies!! What kind of goodies are we hoping to see?!

FEED THE FARMERS | FIRST DELIVERY! ✨
The first official Feed the Farmers delivery is in the books, and Marksmen Farms was the lucky winner! I got to take some freshly baked goodies straight to the field while the crew was hard at work.

BUT I wanted to do a little more than just drop off some sweets. I want to use these posts to shine a light on the hardworking families and crews behind our local agriculture!

🌾 A little about Marksmen Farms!

Dave comes from a farming family, but he and his family are first-generation owners of Marksmen Farms! They purchased the operation in 2018 from a retiring farmer and have continued growing ever since.

Their operation primarily focuses on corn and soybeans, but they also have a spray drone operation.

One thing they emphasized was just how important their entire crew is and how thankful they are for the crew. Farming isn’t a one-person job, and every single person plays a part in keeping things running, especially during harvest.

When I asked Missy what they wished more people understood about farming, her answer stuck with me:

“One thing we wish more people understood is just how much depends on harvest. Our whole lives revolve around this time of year, and especially as first-generation owners, how it turns out has a huge impact on our family and our future. The guys are up well before sunup and work until the grain trucks are loaded for the next day, often well into the night. There are long hours and real dangers in this work, so getting everyone home safely matters more than anything. Having someone think of our crew and bring us meals means a lot!”

Well, I guess it’s time to officially introduce Whisked x Witchcraft! 🖤✨

After finding the perfect hutch in the middle of Minnesota, getting ‘er home, cleaned up over the past week, stocked yesterday afternoon, and now here we are, barely 24 hours later, and the stand is almost COMPLETELY EMPTY. 🤯 Just a few lonely goodies left!

I was NOT expecting y’all to clear the stand out this fast! 🥹

Seriously, THANK YOU to everyone who has already stopped in and supported this new chapter of Whisked & Whipped and The Cauldron . Also a huge thank you to Desi for trusting me with it and allowing me to not only annoy you in the front of the house while serving but even more in back of the house now too.

Don’t worry, I’ll be working on getting those shelves stocked back up with more goodies! Including gluten and dairy free options as well ✨

🌽 FEED THE FARMERS IS HERE! 🌾

First things first — apparently I don’t know how to schedule a post. I thought I scheduled this announcement for Friday at 6PM… turns out I scheduled it for NEXT Friday. So if you saw my story and then got absolutely nothing at 6… my bad. ☠️

ANYWAY— every Friday for the next couple of weeks, I’ll be choosing a local farmer/farm family to surprise with a basket of Whisked & Whipped goodies — completely free, just my way of making those long harvest days a little sweeter. 🖤🌽

Alongside all the baked goods, one of the many things I create is custom stationery—invitations, RSVP cards, detail cards, and coordinating pieces made just for you and your celebration.

I had the honor of making this wedding cake for a beautiful couple I’ve known for the last 6 years, which made this one just a little extra special. 🥹

Inspired by a classic Better Than S*x cake, this beauty featured three layers of moist chocolate cake, rich caramel filling loaded with toffee pieces, and a light, fluffy white chocolate whipped cream frosting to pull it all together.

I hope your wedding day was everything you dreamed it would be and more. Wishing you both a lifetime full of love, laughter, happiness, and plenty of sweet moments together. 🖤
