Just a gal and her rescues, embracing a crazy life and sharing what we love and learn along the way. Tami heads up the Crazy and owns a pet nutrition business.

In support of the homeless or ailing, we will always be a voice for the voiceless. Livin' the Crazy is a community dedicated to celebrating the "crazy" that occurs in a life dedicated to our furry friends. She also slangs insurance as her full-time side hustle. She has been deeply involved in the rescue community in AZ and will forever have a passion for homeless dogs and cats in need. There are 4 canine & 4 feline rescues (plus a resident feral kitty) that make up our crazy family. Chronologically they are:

- Romeo (15yo); Ragdoll/Siamese
- Juliet (14yo); DMH kitty
- Murphy (8yo); Shihtzu
- Sonny (7yo); Sh*tzu mix
- Aliekat (7yo); Lynx point siamese
- Olivia (7yo); Maltese/Yorkie/Shihtzu mix
- Enzo (6yo); All American 'who knows' mixed up adorable mutt
- Bentley (4mo); Polydactyl gray tabby
- Mama Mercedes (1y'ish); Bentley's Mama, and a feral who stays outside

Our guardian angels, that await us at the Rainbow Bridge, are Daisy (neapolitan mastiff) and Cookie (brown tabby).

When your little legs don't cooperate anymore with your desire to watch/smell the world go by, Mama brings you a couch and all is once again right with the world.

Thanks to Eva & Luna () who gifted us this couch when it became clear they wouldn't be able to squeeze themselves into it. 😜

Leaf 🍂 peeping 👀 adventures with Olivia & Katie last week was precisely what my soul needed. The last couple years have been largely adventureless as my seniors had required more supervision and care than I was comfortable leaving to most others. It felt absolutely great getting out there and taking a few extra deep breaths.

Liv picked a bad morning to decide she wanted to walk with Murph and I (she normally says 'nah, I'm good'). Thunder and lightning spooked her into accepting a "ride" for most of the walk. 😂🌩️

Nothing quite prepares you for finding (on the regular) your super senior pup stuck in random corners of the house, and discovering that he's completely unbothered by it. 😜

I had no way to know how affected Bentley would be by all the loss this year, but of all three of the remaining crazy crew, he seems to be struggling the most. He wasn't terribly close with anybody (since Romeo), but Juliet in particular must've grounded him. There are silver linings... He shows up every night for true cuddle time, which he NEVER did before, and he's learning how to play with toys (he's a fan). But he's also cried alot, which absolutely breaks my heart. There will certainly come a time when he gets a new kitty friend, but we're just not there yet. In the meantime, I will thoroughly enjoy the new Bentley Bonding. He's pretty darned good at it. 💚

Old man Murphy had some xrays done today. (We're still trying to figure out why he's consistently losing tiny amounts of weight, wow.) The good news is, all the innards actually look like those of a much younger pup with no obvious cause for concern. SOOOOOO it could be as simple as.... the freaking idiot just needs to eat more!!! 😖

A day with one of my oldest and dearest friends (at their new ARIZONA house! 🎉), Nebraska football (where we actually won, GBR), an adorable pup who eventually leaned into our pool day, and a stunner of a sunset for our drive home. Today was a much needed great day. ❤️ u

Welp... Murphy walked into the pool tonight. Like, caught a smell, and followed it straight in. 😱 Guess he's really NOT seeing much these days, especially at night. The good news? Even with his jacket on (cuz he's ALWAYS cold) he swam like a boss. The POST-swim drama was top tier though, of course. (But guess who will be starting some water therapy this weekend? 😁)

Three. I haven't had only three kids in over 14yrs, since it was just Romeo, Juliet, Daisy and I. It's so odd (and quiet). I've been following along with grief journey. She lost her Simon shortly after I lost Enzo and many times now she's put into words what I haven't been quite able to articulate. Life moves on , and it's just so so hard. Sonny's crossing was only six months ago, but my grieving for him has been overshadowed by losing Enzo so traumatically, and now Juliet. I feel like I'm forgetting all the little things about him faster as a result. 💔 In the meantime, I'm consciously trying to soak up and commit to memory, every minute Iwith these three. Even 20yrs goes faster than you think. 💔🩶🤍
