This weeks Scones are Peach, the Muffins are Blueberry, and the Pies are--so you know how good stirring honey into peanut butter and then dipping apple slices into it is? That's the pie. Apple pie filling with a peanut butter honey pastry cream. I'm saving one for myself for sure.

And we've come to that point in our lives once again where we need the name for a new menu item. It's basically a pared-down lunch version of our Mexi-Mezze platter--Flatbread with a spicy pepita spread, seared chicken thighs, shredded lettuce, radishes, carrot habaneo salsa, cotija, avocado, and a lime yogurt drizzle. If you have any ideas on what to call this delightful monster, let me know. Photo below was our first draft. It was good good. You'll love it.

I'm really looking forward to this Saturday's pie: German Chocolate. Like literally, is there a better combination in this world than Chocolate, Caramel, Coconut, and Pecans? I cannot wait.

We're also introducing a new grab-and-go option to our cold case: starting this week we'll have little snack boxes. They'll have Crackers, Fruit, and Really Good Cheese (this week it's 3-year-aged Gouda), plus your choice between Chicken Salad or Carrot Pkhalli. It's the perfect quick bite to get you through your day.

Last weekend we reintroduced our Orange Morning Buns, and they were a big hit. So look for those this Saturday, along with our Cinnamon Rolls and Sticky Buns. And for the rest of the week we'll have Blueberry Lemon Scones, Raspberry White Chocolate Muffins, and a rotating selection of Sweet Turnovers.

Don't forget that we're open in the evenings on Thursdays and Fridays to serve all your happy hour needs. Come in for Cheese and Charcuterie, a Mexi-Mezze Platter, or lots of other shareable plates. We also have lovely wines to choose from and a few fun beers to check out.

Not too long ago, we had Esteban on our team as a dishwasher. I'm not sure I've ever met a harder worker or anyone with a better attitude. He was dealing with a lot and still showed up, still finished the job, and made grandpa jokes doing it. After we closed we'd crank up some classic country and sing while we cleaned up for the day.

He recently passed away, and his family is offering treats made by his daughter-in-law to help pay for his services. If you're able to purchase or to contribute, please do. He was a very good, kind, and decent man.

So sorry for the delay this week! It's crazy how every morning it's a day later than the one before. But we're here now. Here's what we've got for today and tomorrow:

Blueberry Lemon Scones will be around both days, along with Raspberry White Chocolate Muffins. Tomorrow Cinnamon Rolls and Sticky buns will be back, as well as Peach and Cardamom Cream Pies, Asparagus Mascarpone Quiche, and--if all goes according to plan--some Orange Morning Buns.

Important announcement: We are here today for our regular hours, but we will be CLOSED this evening to cater a private event. I'll do a story about it too but just a heads up.

Starting tomorrow, Blueberry Lemon Scones and back! Be sure to order online or call ahead because these are our most popular flavor. We'll also have Lemon Poppy Muffins for the rest of the week.

I'm hoping to have a few mini Coconut Cream Tarts tomorrow as well, then look for Cinnamon Rolls this Saturday. Other Saturday specials will be: a Strawberry Lime Cream Pie, Jalapeno Popper Quiche, and a Roasted Bell Pepper, Scallion, Cream Cheese, and Mozzarella Roll-Up with Habanero Carrot Mayo.

Right now (Wednesday), we have Mango Coconut Scones, which will be Strawberry White Chocolate starting tomorrow. For the rest of the week, we'll have Lemon Poppy Seed Muffins, Blueberry Turnovers, and Cherry Danishes.

Saturday, Cinnamon Rolls and Sticky Buns will be back, and we'll have Coconut Cream Pies. The Quiche is as yet undetermined, so if you have a strong inclination, let me know!

We are also back to being open later again, so come see us this Thursday and Friday evening for some great shareable plates.

On that note, we have a plate I know so many of you will love. Do y'all remember the Mexi-Mezze platter from last summer? My staff was having trouble putting it together fast enough at lunch, but it'll be perfect in the evening. This iteration consists of: Grilled Chicken Skewers, Sikil Pa'ak (a Yucatan pumpkin seed spread), Habanero Carrot Salsa, Avocado, Red Onion, Radishes, Feta, Cilantro, and House-Made Flatbread we cook to order. I love mixing and matching different combos for each bite. (That sikil pa'ak is one of my favorite things on this planet. You've got to try it.)

Hi, Stranger!

Thank you so much for y'all's patience while I've been out the bakery. I came back for a few hours last night, and I've missed it and all of you so much. Over the next few weeks, I'll be building back up to being here full-time again.

Which is to say: I'm making Cinnamon Rolls tonight! And so much pie crust! Come in tomorrow for the Cinnamon Rolls, a few Scallion Cheddar Quiches, Blueberry Turnovers, Strawberry Crumble Tarts, Peaches and Cream Danishes, Spinach and Artichoke Turnovers, and lots of Roll-Up options. We're back, baby!

Good morning, everyone.

Apologies for the late post this week. I've been under the weather all week--like there's the weather up there, and then the earth, and then magma, and I'm under that. So we've been short on people and products. My team has been stepping up and pulling extra duty all week, and they're doing a great job. But there's only so much you can do.

So we've decided to be open for regular service but closed in the evenings this week. We'll also not be doing online orders because I don't want them overwhelmed more than they are.

Please do stop by and see them. They've been absolute troopers. I'll be back as soon as I can shake the fever. I do not want to spread this one around, whatever it is (literally how many negative tests can I take? I need Dr. House, and he's not a telehealth provider apparently. Rude).

This week in the case we have Strawberry White Chocolate scones and Banana Muffins (when these run out, we'll have Blueberry waiting in the wings). Saturday's going to be a lot of fun with Peaches and Caramel Bourbon Cream Pies.

We're also adding to our breakfast choices with a couple scrambles. Yesterday, I made a Ham, Scallion, and Cream Cheese Scramble, and I don't think I can bear to keep it from y'all. A couple eggs, some tasty add-ins, and a side of house-made griddled sourdough just can't be wrong. Look for these on the menu starting Friday!

And I'm super excited to let y'all know we've been kicking around the idea of hosting a Supper Club every other month, starting in August. We have lots of details to iron out, but I'm looking forward to stretching my bistro legs again. This will be a reservation-only prix fixe meal, so keep an eye out for when seats become available. More info in the coming weeks!
