One day, she was just a little girl with a dream. She had no idea how many times life would break her, rebuild her, stretch her, and ask her to become more than she ever imagined.
Sometimes I wish I could sit beside that little girl for just five minutes. I wouldn’t tell her about the crown…I’d tell her about the becoming.
I’d tell her there will be seasons that don’t look anything like the life she imagined. There will be prayers that feel unanswered, battles she never talks about, and moments when simply making it through the day will require more strength than anyone around her realizes.
But I’d also tell her… Don’t you dare stop dreaming.✨
Because one day, she’ll understand that none of it was wasted.
The pain will become compassion.
The struggle will become strength.
The story she once wanted to hide will become the story she’s brave enough to tell.
Motherhood will change her.
Healing will give her a mission.
And the very things she once prayed to survive will become the things she uses to help someone else survive.
One day, she’ll walk onto a national stage wearing Oklahoma across her heart, and she’ll realize the little girl who once dreamed about a crown grew into a woman who cares far more about what she can do with it. She’ll speak about postpartum depression because she remembers what it felt like to need someone to speak for her. She’ll stop asking, “Why did I have to go through that?” and start praying, “God, how can You use it?” And that will change everything.🫶🏼
Because somewhere along the way, the dream stopped being about becoming someone…and became about becoming the woman she was created to be.
It all started with a dream. God was preparing. Life was shaping. The story was unfolding. And the purpose was waiting.
And if there is one thing I know now that she didn’t know then, it’s this: Sometimes the dream is only the beginning. The real story is who you become on the way there.
From a girl with a dream…to a woman with a purpose. Keep dreaming. God is going to give your dreams a purpose far greater than you ever imagined.🩷✨
