On this my 72nd birthday, I’ve made the decision to retire The Pie Lady business. When I retired in 2014 as a paralegal, I had no idea that I would end up baking for the next 10 years in what turned out to be a whirlwind of a ride. And what a ride it has been. From the UP of Michigan back home to Sylvania, Pie Man and I have met so many people from all over the country and from abroad. We’ve donated our baked goods to many organizations and causes, and it has been our pleasure to do so.
However, rolling out pie dough has taken its toll on my shoulders and it’s now time to hang up my rolling pin. I will continue baking for various causes dear to my heart as a volunteer. However, I will not be selling to the general public.
Thank you to my wonderful husband, Gary, for all of your hard work keeping things going and for putting up with my tears and occasional bad words. A special thank you to my family for believing in me. And, thank you to my taste testers when trying out new recipes. But, most of all, thank you to ALL OF YOU for supporting our small local business. We couldn’t have done it without you!
Happy New Year and Best Wishes for health, happiness and peace.
Love,
Patt Morr
