I’m not even sure where to start with this one. 🤍
I met Kristina back in 2021, and somewhere along the way, a photographer I met through my business became a dear friend.
Earlier this year, she photographed The Flour Craft, and I’m still so in love with these pictures. Not just because they turned out beautiful (because obviously they did 😂), but because I had SO much fun making them.
There’s something really special about having someone photograph you who already knows you. Someone you can laugh with, be completely ridiculous with, and trust to capture the parts of you that you actually want people to see.
And that’s really what our friendship has become.
Our businesses couldn’t be more different, but somehow we’re constantly bouncing ideas off each other. We send each other the random thoughts that probably make absolutely no sense to anyone else. We celebrate the good days together, and when business gets heavy, we’re usually just a text away.
There have been plenty of times when I’ve needed someone who understands the weirdness of pouring so much of yourself into something you’re building. Not necessarily someone to fix it or give me an answer. Just someone who understands.
I’m really thankful I found that person in her.
And if you’ve never worked with Kristina, you’re missing out. She has such a gift for making people feel comfortable and capturing them in a way that feels genuine. She somehow takes a crazy idea, a room full of baked goods, and a slightly awkward baker 😂 and turns it into something I’ll treasure.
These photos feel like The Flour Craft to me. They’re colorful, a little whimsical, a little messy, and full of the things I love.
So, thank you, Kristina. For these beautiful photos, for letting me be completely myself in front of your camera, for all the laughs and late-night business conversations, and mostly for becoming such a good friend along the way.

Behind every delicate macaron, flaky croissant, beautifully decorated cake, and perfectly iced cookie is Kala Peters—the incredibly talented woman behind The Flour Craft.
And yes, I may be a little biased because she’s my business bestie boo. 😂🤍
One of my favorite things about Kala is getting to bring our creativity together. Kala is the talent behind ALL of the custom smash cakes you see in my first birthday sessions! 🎂📸
I can give her a theme, a color palette, or sometimes just an idea floating around in my head, and somehow she creates a cake that fits the vision perfectly. Those cakes aren’t just props—they become part of the entire experience and help make each baby’s first birthday session completely unique.
Kala doesn’t just bake. She creates.
Every tiny detail, every piped flower, every layer, and every pastry reflects the time, creativity, and love she puts into what she does.
But beyond the cakes and the business collaborations, there’s something else I’m incredibly thankful for—having another business owner as a friend.
If you own a business and don’t have a business bestie in your corner, you are absolutely missing out. 😂
There’s something different about having someone who gets it. Someone you can bounce crazy ideas off of, vent to when business gets hard, celebrate the wins with, talk through the worries with, and ask, “Am I completely crazy for thinking about doing this?” approximately 400 times. 😂
Someone who understands that sometimes you don’t need advice—you just need another business owner to say, “Yep. I get it.”
Every business owner needs that person.
I’m just lucky mine also happens to make ridiculously beautiful cakes. 😂🎂🤍
