✨ The Daily Knead Is Back! ✨

Hey y’all! I know I stepped away for a little while due to some personal reasons, but I’m so excited to share that I’m officially back, now based in the Stratton/Union area! 🤍

Baking has always been something I truly love, and I’ve missed it (and all of you!) so much. Knowing how many people enjoyed my goodies is a big part of why I wanted to bring The Daily Knead back to life. 🥹💛

Here’s what I’ll be offering as I ease back in:

At this time, sourdough isn’t available yet, but don’t worry, it’ll be back very soon once I’m fully settled and my starter is ready to go. 🤍

YOU CAN’T MAKE THIS STUFF UP… 👣🍉🥖

We had an incident shortly after the Farmers Market on Saturday that we’re just now able to notify the public about…

As M&M Produce was packing up for the day, a subject resembling Bigfoot (yes, seriously) snuck onto the scene and escaped with a watermelon and a leftover loaf of bread from The Daily Knead.

He was so fast, hardly anyone got a good look — except Mrs. Linda Bounds, who watched it all unfold from her golf cart up on the road.

👮 She immediately alerted Police Chief Kevin Polk, who attempted pursuit, but despite his best effort, he was unable to apprehend the suspect on foot after a brief chase.

🎨 Thankfully, with help from market vendor and resident artist Ms. Donna, Linda was able to give a full description — leading to the official sketch you see here today.

The suspect was last seen disappearing into the wildflowers of Roux Field.

👉 Philip Prince from The Junction and Wendy Ellis from the Eagle’s Nest stepped in and generously offered additional sponsor funds to help us beef up security this Saturday.
It’s safe to return. 👀

🎆🍞 Quick Update from The Daily Knead 🍞🎆
I’m currently headed to Georgia for a much-needed 4th of July vacation 🇺🇸💙 but I couldn’t leave without showing y’all some of the new and well-loved treats I’ve been baking lately!

✨ Sub Loaves – Italian Herb & Cheese ($6) or Regular ($4) – perfect for your sandwiches or to serve with dinner!
✨ Now Taking Cake Orders! I’ve recently done a rich chocolate pound cake and this delicious carrot cake (pictured!) 🎂
✨ Sourdough Croissant Loaves – Each one baked with a whole stick of butter and some even have chocolate chips… trust me, they are unreal 😍

🛻 BREAD DROP-OFF in Carthage!
Even while I’m away, fresh bread will be dropped off at The Pink Tumbleweed in Carthage this morning thanks to my amazing mother-in-law 💗
I truly have the best support system — from family to customers — and I’m so thankful to each of you who support my little microbakery dream!

❌ I will not be at the Walnut Grove Farmers Market this Saturday — I’ll miss seeing everyone, but we will be back and ready to bake next week!

Due to the extreme heat, the Walnut Grove Farmers’ Market will now operate from:
8:00 AM – 11:30 AM every Saturday

We want to keep things safe and comfortable for our vendors and shoppers—so come early, beat the heat, and grab your fresh goodies before lunch!

📣 BBQ Preorders Due Monday, June 30!

BBK Competition BBQ is back at the Walnut Grove Farmers Market on July 5 — but Hunter needs more preorders to make the trip worth it. Let’s show him how much we want him back!

If you’ve been meaning to order (we get it — life is busy!), now’s the time. Preorder a rack of ribs or text Hunter to let him know you’ll be stopping by for a rib tip or pulled pork plate (each comes with 2 sides and a drink) so he can prep enough for everyone!

Hunter, Lucas, and Lawrence win awards at BBQ competitions almost every month. We’re lucky to have them — let’s make sure it’s worth their time to keep coming!

We have also packed up a few things to send over to The Newton County FFA Farmers Market today! My sweet Mama will be there selling 8-12 or until we sell out!! 🍞😊

This market features locally grown and made products from the region, with baked goods, fresh fruits and veggies, and even milk from Urbo Crossing Dairy Farm.
