I've not updated in a while. My daughter turned 12 in December and I pulled out all of my old things to really give her a beautiful cake. Sadly, doing this still only presented me with very little joy. I'm still good at decorating and efficient to say the least. But sadly still no joy.

Currently my life is still a huge mess. I've had full time care for my daughter going on 4 months now. It's not been an easy transition for her and has caused a lot of ups and downs between her and myself. With that said, she is my main focus and ensuring I provide the time and support she needs to keep thriving.

I am still holding out hope I can revamp and come back. Maybe take on smaller orders, simplify designs. Currently with my work load and a full time single mom, cakes still need to be on the back burner.

I don't check my messages often, but it warms my heart you all still check on me and check in hoping I'm back up. Once I'm able to find my footing again I'll be sure to have a giant post and offerings to celebrate my triumphant return.

Good Afternoon sweets!! Long time no post. Unfortunately this is not a return post as of yet, but more of an update on how life is going and if there is a future for Sprinkled Sweet Shop.

This beauty was my very last wedding cake before completely shutting everything down. Truly one of my favorite designs.

I am still on my path of healing, being present for my daughter who I have full time, and is also on her own healing journey. I've been able to enjoy movie & pizza nights, go out to dinner, enjoy family time without the stress of chores waiting for me back home. It's definitely been a different world compared to the last 3yrs of throwing my entire being into cakes.

Thank you everyone for the love and support! I really really tried to stick it out and still provide the best service and sweets till i was able to step back. But things just didn't play out that way. Today has been extremely hard and a lot to accept. Admitting you aren't ok is extremely hard. Unfortunately, I have not been ok for a long time now. Just chugging along. Please feel free to add me personally on Facebook. Many have turned into true friends and I'd like to be able to come back to this when time is right.

This will be a 100% transparent post about my current mental health and why I need to cancel all of my promised orders.

Last night I had a full on mental breakdown. Many of you know cakes are not my full time anymore. I have been working full time and still managing cakes steadily for over a year now. It has finally broke me. The stress and pressure to produce and get orders completed by a deadline has finally taken it's toll on me. I need to take my step back starting now. I greatly apologize for the bind this may put you in and I hope this is enough time to find another lovely baker to complete your orders.

I'm truly not ok and need to start working towards feeling ok.

I will be reaching out to everyone I have promised orders to to cancel. Thank you ❤️

Goodness where does the time go? I started this journey on my daughter's 1st Birthday. Because of your overwhelming love and continued support over the years I had the pleasure of being published in magazines, creating moments with you all as you got married, had babies, celebrated their first birthdays and many after! You allowed me to be apart of your special days and also allowed me to call many of you friends.

Unfortunately, this needs to be the end of Sprinkled Sweet Shop. This journey has been one I will gladly retell over and over, but all things must come to an end. August 2023 will be the last for Sprinkled Sweet Shop. I am not sure if i will pick things back up in future. But, for right now, this is something that I need personally.

Thank you, seriously thank you, from the bottom of my heart for everything you all helped me achieve over the years. It will never be forgotten!

A light update to post earlier:

I am still struggling with my mental health and overall happiness. So slowing things down and assessing my life is what I need. I will be, of course, upholding all orders I've taken on.

I am closing my books until further notice. A post will be coming soon to explain the future of Sprinkled Sweet Shop.
