Hi, friends! We’re still patiently waiting for our permit approval. One permit got approved last week but the other half is expected soon. We’ll definitely be opening later than we had hoped, but Jose G Jimenez and I have found the silver lining in having a little extra time to dream, plan, and make The Velvet Crumb even more special!

Our installation crew is on standby and ready to get started as soon as that permit comes through. We don’t have an official opening date just yet, but we are beyond excited to open our doors!

In the meantime, my favorite baking season is almost here, and I can’t stop dreaming about all the fall and holiday goodies that will be coming out of The Velvet Crumb. 🍂🤎

I think our Apple Brioche Buns might just be the perfect mix between a cinnamon roll and a danish. 🍎

Soft, buttery brioche filled with cinnamon apples, with just the right amount of sweetness. Cozy like a cinnamon roll, but light and buttery like a danish.

Definitely one of those pastries you’ll want with a cup of coffee.

Cant wait for yall to try them! When I ran my cottage bakery these where always a hit!

Relationship status: Still speaking to each other after installing a flower wall. 😂

Turns out thousands of little squares require a whole lot of teamwork. We had a lot of laughs, a few "hold it right there!" moments, and now we finally have a flower wall we love. 🌸

We can't wait for you to try our Croissant Pavés! 🥐

They'll be a staple on our pastry menu. "Pavé" means flattened, but ours are so much more than that, each croissant is gently pressed, brushed with a delicate glaze, topped with a light cheesecake-style cream, and finished with fresh seasonal fruit.

Crispy, buttery, creamy, and fresh... they're truly worth every crumb.

Well friends, we wanted to give everyone a little update!

Our opening has taken a bit longer than we originally hoped, but we're making great progress. We are officially finished decorating, and its all coming together!

Right now, we're simply waiting on our final piece of equipment to be installed and to complete our final inspections. Once those are behind us, we'll be able to announce an official opening date.
Our hope is still to open sometime in mid to late August, but we'll keep everyone updated here on Facebook as we know more.

Thank you all so much for your patience, encouragement, and for checking in on us through messages and texts. It truly means more than you know, and we can't wait to welcome you all when the time finally comes.

In the meantime, we're dreaming up some fun after-hours events for the Bakehouse, and we can't wait to share those with you soon! ☕🥐✨
