When it’s rainy & blah out, nothing soothes a soggy soul like breakfast for dinner. Tonight we made French Toast 🍞& bacon🥓 . I like to cook my bacon in the oven. Line a sheet pan with foil first, then parchment paper. Lay on your bacon & bake @ 375 for about 15-20 min. One less thing you have to watch. A lot of people are intimidated by French Toast cuz it either is soggy or too dry. I’ll share my recipe with ya.
Thick👏sliced👏bread👏. I use the sliced brioche from Walmart & it’s perfect. 1 cup milk. 2 eggs. 1 tsp cinnamon. 1 tsp vanilla. Whisk it up. Warm your griddle or skillet slowly over low heat. 1TBSP butter and let it melt. Then DIP your bread QUICKLY in the custard mixture. Don’t set it in there for too long or you’ll get soggy Toast. Dip. Flip. Dip. Cook. Golden brown is what we’re going for. Cook it slow. When it starts to steam & you start to smell it, it’s time to flip.
Drizzle the yummy maple goo. Shake a little powdered sugar on there. Stand back, admire your work, then dig in! 🤤😋
