Since I was a little girl, I dreamed of a charmed bed & breakfast that doubled as a tea shop. one that felt like home, where people could come to be cared for, body and soul.

I went on with life knowing that dream was probably shaped by too many movies and books, cooking up little garden stews with my sister at 9 and 6, It all felt a little silly, so I kept moving forward, building a life and a career I truly love, helping people in a different way.

But at 29, something shifted. I was done having kids, I had married someone who nurtured me and shared similar dreams and I realized I needed to start showing up for myself. I needed to feed the parts of me that loved gardening, crafting, and creating.

In 2023, The Charmed Cottage was born.

But I realized I couldn’t pull away from my salon. I love my people, my coworkers who became sisters and my clients who became some of my closest friends. So I handed part of the dream to Aj and asked him to pour into what I couldn’t yet. He took it and wove it into something beautiful. His love for baking, especially for others, helped root us deeper into this community. My hometown that I love beyond measure.

His love for what he does built something real. It gave us a name, put us on the map, and carried us into spaces we had never stepped into before. It helped us buy our dream home and property and gave me my dream of Eeyores grazing all around and created the childhood I always wanted for my kids.

Such a long story just to tell you all, we’re still dreaming.

A full bed & breakfast may come one day, but for now, we’re taking the next steps, sharing more from my apothecary and garden. Teas, bath blends, pantry goods… all made to nurture the mind, body, and spirit.
