The baking slump really took over 😩 Been so MIA on here!

But today Shade and I are doing a fun little sourdough flight while I reset the house!

We made a “menu” (mostly him picking his, Rory’s, and their daddy’s favorites). We kept it simple today, but tomorrow I might get brave and make it a little more challenging 🫣

Alsoooo… some sweet friends will be getting the extras 🥳 so if I see you over the next few days, just know I’m not showing up empty handed 😂❤️

Hey friends 🤍 I’ve been a little MIA on here lately…baking took a bit of a back seat for a while 😅 it’s mostly been loaves and little goodies for my family, plus sharing extras with friends we see.

Hey y’all! I know I’ve been very MIA here 🫠 Life got a little hectic, and baking slowed down quite a bit. Big shoutout to my amazing hubby for finishing this loaf the other day 🥹 his first time shaping and baking it solo without me in the kitchen! I only gave him instructions through a text… and I may have left out the ending parts that’s completely my fault…🤣 Still, he did an amazing job and I’m so proud!

Christmas is coming 🎄, and I’m hoping to get back in the baking spirit this upcoming week in between my kiddos’ meetups! I promise I’ll eventually get back to posting bakes and goodies here, but for now, thank you so much to all my new followers 🥹 I honestly wasn’t expecting new faces popping up after my little break. Y’all are the sweetest, and I can’t wait to share more soon! ✨

Guess who made two fun loaves with little ghosts baked right in! 👻🕯️ The Owens Family kitchen was full of flour, laughter, and just a touch of spooky magic last night. The sourdough ghosts turned out so cute — one even looks like it’s smiling (on the smaller loaf)! 😆

It’s been a full week over here! 🥰 Between homeschooling and our group meetups, the kids have kept me busy busy, but this mama still found time to bake! 🍞✨

Over the last two days, I’ve made four loaves:
🥖 Two classic sourdoughs
🍕 One pepperoni, bacon & Italian cheese sourdough loaf
🍓 And one strawberries & chocolate sourdough loaf

Ending the week with a happy heart and a house that smells like fresh bread. 💛

🍞 Fresh from the oven at The Owens Family Bakery! Yesterday I baked two loaves of sourdough bread—a mini loaf and a bigger loaf! 🙂‍↕️

As soon as the big loaf cooled, this mama couldn’t resist—cut into it for some fresh strawberry jam toast as a late-night snack 😌🍓✨

I’ve been having some fun in the kitchen these last couple of days ✨🤭

🍂 Cinnamon swirl sourdough turned into little bread muffins (because sometimes cozy things just belong in muffin form).
🍫 A birthday brownie for my best friend’s sweet mama — part s’mores, part fudgy brownie, and yes… still with a sourdough twist.

Baking is always an adventure around here, and I love bringing a little creativity (and a lot of love) into every recipe. 💛
